•When Jimin woke up again, he woke up to someone pinching the bridge of his nose. It was Taehyung.
"Mornin'," Jimin mumbled, rubbing his eyes and trying to get the sleep crust off. Taehyung gave him wry smile.
"You were drooling in your sleep." Jimin glared at his very endearing younger brother. "Yeah, sure. Anyways, how are you feeling?"
"Fine." Taehyung replied flatly then sighed. "I miss him, but I know he never likes seeing any of us upset. He was always cheering us up one way or another."
"That's true, that's why everyone loved Appa." Jimin replied, eyes moistening up. He brushed his hair back and got off the bed. "Come on, lets go get some food."
The hallway was empty, and they managed to get to the kitchen without anyone noticing them. "I wonder where everyone is." Taehyung wondered. He opened the kitchen doors, the smell of food wafting out.
"Hey Jinnie," Jimin called out, and a young man poked his head out, immediately grinning broadly when he sets his eyes on the two young omega princes.
"Where's the honorifics?" He replied teasingly, poking Jimin and Taehyung's soft stomachs. They giggled and shied away, covering their stomachs. "Sorry Hyung."
"Now what can I do for you today?" Jin asked, tying his apron.
"Tteokbokki!" They exclaimed, and Jin chuckled. "Sure thing. I'm pretty sure I have rice cakes from two days ago. I'll have it ready in 10 minutes, alright?"
They sat down on the wooden table and waited patiently as Jin turned on the stove. "How are you guys feeling?" He asked, looking at them worriedly as he obviously remembered the situation.
"I'd rather not talk about it now, besides, Appa is already gone, so it's no use talking about it." Jimin replied flatly. Jin nodded, although he still looked a bit worried.
After ten minutes, two plates of tteokbokki were placed him front of them, the savoury smell wafting up to their sensitive noses, making them twitch cutely. Digging in, they made noises of appreciation when the flavour bursted in their mouths.
"Damn Hyung," Taehyung mumbled around a mouthful. "Do you ever have a day where you can't cook?" Jin grinned smugly at his comment.
"Nope, never."
"I think you just fueled his ego Tae." Jimin muttered, and Jin pretended he didn't hear him. "Anyways, I heard from Namjoon that they were discussing about your marriage." Jimin nodded. "Right."
"You don't want to marry just anyone, right? Has to be someone you choose." Jimin nodded in agreement. "Yes, but I wonder how they'll do it."
"Maybe they'll make you meet several princes from neighbouring kingdoms. Alphas, right?" Taehyung asked, putting his chin on his palm.
"Yeah, but I don't like any of the Alpha princes," Jimin scrunched up his nose. "They are all pompous and selfish ones too."
"Maybe her Majesty will make you meet people of your own kingdom." Jin suggested, untying his apron and coming to sit across from them.
Jimin pouted. "Probably, I just hope I get to have a proper meeting with whoever I'm going to be with."
"So you're suggesting we hold some sort of event?" The queen questioned, and Namjoon nodded. "Yes, that is the idea. We could make it so that the participants compete to win, therefore we can choose the best, and one that Jimin likes. In this case, it's a win win situation."
The Queen hummed in thought. "That could work. Send out letters about this event, and choose 40 candidates out of the people who apply, and it will be random, no one paying to get in. We'll hold tests, so we can see who is the best fit."
"Yes your majesty, it will be done right away." Namjoon promised and he left to make the order.
Jimin and Taehyung were currently lying in the palace garden, basking in the warm sunlight while eating watermelons.
"Ack! Don't spit the seeds on me Tae!" Jimjn shrieked loudly, getting up from his seat so he was out of range from Taehyung's spit.
"Why?" Taehyung grinned mischievously. "It's fun." Jimin growled at him and tackled his brother to the ground. "Oh really? Take this!" He grabbed their ice water drinks and dumped it over his head, making Taehyung screech in surprise.
"Fuck its cold!" He chattered, and Jimin cackled evilly.
"Jimin, Taehyung." The boys turned their heads to see their mother staring at them with her mouth in a straight line and her hands on her hips.
"Look at you." She scolded, coming foreword to wipe the watermelon mess from their faces. "Is this how princes are supposed to act?"
Jimin and Taehyung bowed their heads. "No Eomma." She chuckled quietly and patted their heads fondly.
"I was just talking to Namjoon about what we're going to do about finding Jimin a partner." Jimin blushed while Taehyung grinned and slapped his arm. "Damn Jiminie! You're gonna find someone you loooooove."
They giggled while their mother rolled her eyes. "That's what we're aiming for, along with finding someone suitable to rule along with Jimin."
"So how are we going to do it?" Jimin questioned, and his mother sat down on the grass with them.
"We've decided that we'll send out letters to the citizens of Korea, and the legible ones will be able to sign up for it."
"Alphas right?" The Queen nodded. "Yes as others won't be suitable in your case." Jimin nodded. "I like the sound of this. When will it start?"
"Around two weeks from now,"
Taehyung nudged his brother. "Hey, if there's someone you don't like, can I choose them?" Jimin laughed at his brothers question. "I don't know. Ask Eomma."
Taehyung whipped around to look at his mother. "Can I?" The Queen laughed at her sons question. "Depends."
Taehyung huffed. "Or I'll just call dibs." Jimin slapped his arm. "You can't do that!"
"But if you don't even like them, what's the point-,"
"But they're still here for me!"
"My sons," the Queen says exasperated at her sons bickering. "The event hasn't even started so you can't say for sure what will happen."
The two brothers grumbled at this, but stopped arguing. The Queen stood up and dusting off her dress and her hands, she held out her hands. "Now come on, lets get you guys washed up and inside before you get sunburns."
The two princes quickly got up to follow their mother, Jimin's pulse thrumming with excitement. He didn't show it, but he was excited for this event, as he and Taehyung dreamed of a day where a handsome man who loved them not for their status but for who they were would sweep them off their feet.
But wouldn't they act all respectful when they realize who you are?
"Eomma." He called, and his mother turned to look at him. "Yes love?"
"When they come can we pretend I'm not the prince?" Jimin mumbled. His mother looked shocked at first, before she calmed down, seemingly understanding what he was trying to say.
"Of course, you can. We can have someone else pretend to be prince in your place."
Content, Jimin followed his mother and brother back into the palace, wanting the day to come already.
