Chapter 13

Chris POV:

I hoped Leigh could at least talk to her but my hope was crushed as soon as I heard the door from the bedroom slam shut. I sigh and get up „Come on girls let's see what's going on." Jade and Perrie stand up and follow me upstairs. I see the door of the guest bedroom slightly open and a desperate Leigh sitting in between shards and books. We scramble over „God Leigh what happened? Has she thrown things at you?" „N-no. I came in here and it looked already like this. I didn't even have the chance to talk to her. She stormed out and I don't know where she is now." This poor girl sobbed out. Perrie hugs her tightly while Jade has her hands in her hips and cheeks puffed. I rub my temples as Jade speaks up „Maybe she's in the bedroom." We head over but she is not there. Only the open window...wait... I closed it. I scramble to the window and look outside and turn around quickly „She must have ran away. I closed the window before we had the argument and now it's open and few of her things are gone..." I let out a sob as I immediately think she broke up with me. Leigh immediately hugs me, joined by Jade and Perrie „No she didn't break up with you Chris." „But why would she take some of her things and leave through the window?" „I don't know. Maybe she's staying over at a friends' place?" I shake my head and pull away. „Stay here please I'll go look for her. I don't want yous to get out alone in the dark and in case she comes back, at least you're here then and can inform me." They nod as we head downstairs with the three sitting down in the living room while I grab the keys „Feel like home." „Thank you." I quickly get outside and hop in my car. I speed down the streets but couldn't find her. Where could she have gone? I drive through whole Romford until there was one space missing I haven't looked yet. The park. I carefully drive through the park until I see someone lying underneath a tree. I carefully get out and put on the flashlight on my phone. As I come closer I see Jesy. Next to her three empty bottles of vodka and she's soundly asleep. Oh my god that doesn't look good. I kneel down next to her and carefully shake her frame „Jes? Baby? Hey do you hear me?" She grunts but doesn't open her eyes. I shake her a little more „Jes wake up." She groans and opens her eyes and hiccups „Oh...are you my dad?" „No babe. I'm your boyfriend." she giggles and puts her hand on my nose „Boop." I sigh „Come on let's get you home." She slurs out some words I don't understand so I nod and carefully pick her up bridal style, carrying into the car and quickly take her things and load them on the backseat. Jesy is already sleeping as I fasten her seatbelt „Oh honey." I get next to her and quickly drive us home. At her house I honk a few times and the girls open the door. I get out „I got her. Her things are at the backseat." Leigh quickly comes to the car and takes her things as I carefully take Jesy out and carry her inside. She opens her eyes again as we're inside „Wheeeee I have a house..." I nod „Damn you're so hot." she licks her lips and I chuckle „You my boyfr...boy...boyfriend?" „Yes I am." She hiccups „Cool...I wanna have your kids." I chuckle again as I shake my head „Let's get you to sleep honey. You're pissed drunk." She laughs „Whooooo my life is a partyyyyy I won't go to..." and her eyes close as she falls alseep again. This poor girl will be so hungover tomorrow. „I'll take her upstairs and get her to sleep then I'll be right back." The girls nod as I carefully carry her upstairs. In the bedroom I quickly change her into her pajamas but I notice plasters on her hips. I sigh deeply as I know now my suspicion was really correct. That's why she flinched when I touched her hip. Now she can't deny it anymore. I throw the sheets over her body and give her a kiss „Good night." and head downstairs again. „Girls?" They look at me „Jesy is cutting again." They all gasp at the fact and at my bluntness „What?" „She cuts again. When she asked me to get her some sleeping pills I found blades hidden in between and on one was dried blood. When I hugged her and touched her hip she whined and flinched." Jade nods „She told me Reggie scratched her but I couldn't really convince myself that this was true. But now the pieces fit together." I pace around as I get an idea. „I'll call her therapist Dr. Ritchie tomorrow." „Chris you know how she is at the moment. She would never go there." „She has to. If not I'd have to take her there myself. She clearly needs some help." They nod and I sigh „I miss the Jesy I fell for. I know I fell in love with her when she was at her lowest. I stayed with her through her recovery and fell even more in love with her. But when she was at her lowest she wasn't like this. She was snappy sometimes but this time it is even worse like she would snap at smallest things, she consumes alcohol and just isn't herself. I feel like someone took control over her body." „We don't know either Chris what happened to her. Usually she never skipped work. Not even when she was at her lowest before you guys met. But now she keeps skipping work and if she gets to occur she just sits there. In rehearsals she has huge problems learning the choreo which is strange because she's always the first to get it." I sigh and stare at the photos of us on the shelf above the TV. I get up and take one and sit back down „Here. Look at her. Her smile so bright and real. You can see pure joy of life in her eyes." I carress her with my thumb „I just want her to be happy." „We all want that Chris. But we don't know how." We talked for a little more until we were all tired. The three went home and I went upstairs. On my way I grabbed a glass of water and an Advil. She'll need it. I write her a small note ‚Hey Jes. Here some Advil for your head. Love you.' I place it on her nightstand while I change into my pjs and head to the guest bedroom. I don't know if she wants to see me. As I lay in bed, I remember myself again to call Dr. Ritchie and make an appointment for her before I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
