Chapter 18: Camping Day 1

Avani's Pov
I wake up a little chilly but that's because I don't have any clothes on. I lay there wrapped in Anthony's arms. We plan on leaving for the trip around 10am. It's currently 7am. I start to shiver and that wakes Anthony up. He grabs him sweatshirt from the side of my bed and slips it on me. I kiss him to thank him. I am way warmer now. We are cuddling some more when I hear someone knock at my door. I think it's my little sister. "Vani can you open the door please" she says in a soft voice. "Yeah priya Just give me a second" I say back. Anthony grabs his underwear and his clothes from off the ground and he runs into my bathroom. I close the door behind him and I grab my underwear and spandex off the ground and slip them on under the hoodie. I go over to my door and there was priya. "Hey sis what do you need" I ask. "Can I borrow one of your beanies" she asks quietly. "Yeah of course which one do you want" I say back. "How about a black one" she says. "Alright here you go" I say giving her the beanie. "Thanks Vani oh and by the way I'm going back to my friends I just needed a few things from here first so I love you" she says. "Love you too" I say giving her a hug. She skips out my door and I close it and lock it. Hopefully non of my hickeys where showing. I go over to the bathroom door and open it. Anthony put his clothes on while he was waiting. "Alright she's gone" I say. "Okay well I have to start getting my stuff to my car and so do you"he says. "Yeah I knowwww" I say acting lazy. "Come on Vani I'll meet you outside" he says walking to my window. "Okayyyy" I say dragging my feet to the window. I give him a quick peck and he jumps out my window. I close it. I go to my bathroom and I hop in the shower and take a quick shower. I get out and I put on some black leggings and a white cropped tank. I pack all my toiletries in a bag and I put it in my suitcase with my clothes. I put on light makeup and deodorant and perfume then I put all of it in a separate bag and I put it in my backpack. I also put in a charger and some headphones. I look around my room and put in a few more essential items. I put on my A+A bracelet. I sometimes don't get to wear it to school if it's too noticeable. We still wanna keep whatever this is a secret. I play with the bracelet a little before going downstairs with my bags. It's now 8am. I see my mom isn't in the kitchen so I leave my bags on the floor and go to her room. I don't see her in there so I go back down to the kitchen and I see a note. "Hey Sweetie I had another shift this morning I hope you don't mind. Have fun on your camping trip and make good decisions. See you soon -Mom" I start to get upset. I hold in the tears and just think about how much fun this trip will be. I forget about the note and I eat a quick breakfast. I grab my bags and I go out the front door. I see Anthony putting his bags in the trunk so I slowly walk over to him. He runs to me and grabs my bags out of my hand. "Anthonyyyyy" I say. He just smiles and laughs then goes and puts my bags in his car. I forgot my phone. "Hey babe I forgot my phone I'll be right back" I say. He nods and I run over to my house and go inside. I look for my phone in the kitchen and it's not there so I go to my room. My room is kind of messy but I find it in my bed. I make my bed and I run back downstairs. Anthony is in the car waiting. I go and get it. "Sorry my room is a mess" I say out of breath. "That's partly my fault" he says smirking. "Oh stop it" I say back. It's now 9am. We are still sitting in my driveway in the car. I decide to text Addi.
Addi <3
AV: Hey Addi are you guys getting ready to leave?
AD: Yeah we just got in the car see you soon
AV: alright see you soon
*chat ended*

"She said there leaving what about the boys" I ask. "They said there leaving too" he says and I smile at him. I give him a quick peck on the lips and he places his hand on my thigh and we begin to drive. I lay my head on the door and I feel myself slowly fall asleep.

Soon I am waken by a light squeeze on my thigh. I flutter my eyes open. "Goodmorning beautiful were here" he says in a soft voice. I sit up and look out my window. The campsite we got is close to the beach. They also have a public pool here too. Our campsite is a pretty decent size. We sit in the car and wait for the others. Me and Anthony chat while we wait. Then a few minutes later two cared pull up and park next to us. I wave over at them and we get out. We hand them each there tents. Bryce and Chase are sharing and Addi and Charli are sharing. We have one extra just in case. The tents are a pretty big size. There is enough room to move around of course. We all start setting up our tents about 6ft away from each-other. Me and Ant finish ours first and then Addi and Charli then lastly Chase and Bryce. We start setting up the inside of the tent. Anthony and I got a queen size air mattress. Then in the other side of the tent we put our bags down. I'm surprised our friends don't really notice that me and Anthony always share a bed. They probably notice but don't care. Then we set up the extra tent just in case we need more room. We have a fire pit at the back of our campsite. There were already some stumps placed around the campfire probably by the owner of the campground. There were six stumps the perfect amount for each of us. We each had our own sleeping bag though and I snuck some extra blankets for me and Anthony just in case it gets cold. I set up a fan and some lights in our tent just so it was better to see. The air outside was not super warm today it had a slight breeze which felt nice. We where all super excited for this trip. Charli and Addi brought a cooler for our drinks. We got soda and water. We left our food and drinks in the back of Charli and Addis car. It's now 2pm. We are all chilling outside. I'm sitting next to Anthony and he is secretly holding my hand under the picnic table. Charli, Addison, and Bryce are all sitting on the other side and chase is besides Anthony. We are all chatting as if no drama ever happened. Charli actually was talking to Chase and I know she was still heartbroken but she didn't want to ruin there friendship they had before all of this. Soon it is 4pm and everyone is hungry. I suggest we go out to a diner or something and everyone agrees. We all go to our tents to get changed. Anthony lays on the mattress while I change into jeans and a black cropped tight shirt. I could feel his eyes on me while I changed but I never turned around. I finished and Anthony came up to me and kissed me slowly. I kissed back but pulled away and shooed him to go get changed. I laid on the mattresses and I decided to text my mom and tell her we got here safe. She wouldn't respond for a while though because she was at work. I huffed out loud and didn't notice. Anthony came over to me he had a black button down and jeans on. He pulled me up from the mattress and tucked my hair behind my ear. "What's wrong baby" he said in almost a whisper. "Just my mom and her working all the time. But I know it's for the best" I say looking down. He pulls my face up and kisses me slowly. He then pulls away. "I'll always be here for you if you need anything. I know it's hard but you'll get through this" he says. I pull him back into a kiss then I pull away slowly. "We should get going" I say looking him in the eyes. He grabs my hand and we walk out of the tent. We see Charli and Addi so he quickly lets go of my hand and I kinda frown. It sucks that we have to keep this a secret but it's whatever. We all get into separate cars. We start driving to the diner. Once we get there me Anthony and chase are on one side of the table then Bryce Addison and Charli are on the other side. Anthony secretly places his hand on my thigh. I look over and smile at him. Everyone chats at the table.

It's now 6pm. We are all driving back and me and Anthony are singing to some music. We soon make it back to the campsite and we all decide to sit around the fire. Bryce starts the fire up and we all sit on a stump. I have Anthony to my right and Addison to my left. Chase is next to Anthony and then it goes Charli, Bryce And then Addi. We all listen to some music and chat while watching the fire.

It's now 9pm and everyone seemed tired. The fire has dyed down a lot. Charli and Addi go back to there tent and so does Chase and Bryce. It's just me and Anthony by the fire now. I can finally lay my head on his shoulder so I do. He places his hand on my thigh. We are still listening to music.

It's now 10pm and I'm starting to get sleepy. Anthony slowly stands up and helps me up. He can tell I'm tired. He helps me to the tent. I tell him to grab me sweats so he does and I slip off my jeans and put on my sweats. I take off my shirt and leave myself in a sports bra. I can tell Anthony is staring. I look up at him and smile and he snaps out of it and blushes. He slips off his pants and puts on some black gym shorts. He takes his shirt off. I admire his abs and he looks me up and down once more. I go and flop on the air mattress. Anthony comes over and does the same. I flip on top of him and kiss him. He kisses back. I'm so tired. I lay on my stomach on top of him. I lay my head on his chest and I hear his heartbeat. He plays with my hair. I slowly fall asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
