Chapter 40: Home

Avani's Pov
I wake up and I'm still in Anthony's arms. His shirt was off now probably because it got hot last night. I took my leg off Anthony and stretched. I felt his hand grab my leg and put it back causing me to laugh. I lean up and kiss his neck lightly and his eyes open. I flip myself on top of him now straddling his lap and I watch him smile. His hands ran up my thighs. I just had a shirt on with underwear. I get chills from his touch. He stayed laying back just looking up at me. "Gosh your beautiful" he said and I smiled. "I don't want to go back" I say and a tear falls from my eye. He sat up and wiped it with his thumb. "We have to" he said in a calm voice. I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of his hand on my face. I open my eyes and watch as he admires my face. I let out a small laugh. "Let's get ready to go" I say snapping him out of his thoughts. I kiss his forehead and get off of him. His eyes scan my body. "Eyes up here" I say and I watch him smile. I grab Anthony's arm and I pull him up. "I need to shower are you coming" I ask him and I watch him smirk so I slap his arm playfully. I walk to the bathroom with Anthony following closely behind me. I take off my clothes and I get into the shower. He gets in soon after and I smile. We both take a quick shower and I get out and wrap myself in a towel. I walk out of the bathroom and I put on this outfit.

I went back into the bathroom and Anthony was dressed but he was still fixing his hair. I fixed my hair and put on deodorant and perfume. I then covered every hickey that was noticeable and I did the same to Anthony. "Better be safe then sorry" I say and we both laugh. I finished getting ready and so did Anthony. I just sat on the bathroom counter with my back against the mirror. "I'm nervous" I say and he came and stood in between my legs. "I'll be here" he said and I smiled. He placed his hand on my hips and pulled me off the counter. Our faces were inches apart. "Are you ready" he asked in almost a whisper. I just nodded and I watched him smile. He placed his lips on mine then slowly pulled away. I grabbed his hand and we walked out of the bathroom and grabbed our bags. I look out the window one last time and I follow behind Anthony with my hand in his. We check out on the main floor and go into his car.

The nerves grew even more as we got closed and closer to home. Anthony grabbed my hand again and I hugged his arm leaning my head on it. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I was then woken up from the car stopping. I slowly opened my eyes and lifted my head off of Anthony's arm. I noticed we were back in town around 2 minutes away from our houses. I looked over at Anthony nervously and he glanced over and gave my hand a kiss. We made it back. I felt like I wanted to vomit at this point. Anthony looked at me lightly placing his hand on my cheek. "If you need me text me" he said and I nodded. I gave him a quick kiss before grabbing my bag and getting out of the car.

I walked over to my front door and opened it. I saw my mom on the couch and she looked over at me wide eyed. She stood up practically shaking and ran over to me. "Is it really you?" She said with her hand on my cheek. I teared up a bit and shook my head. "Why did you leave" she said in a shaky voice. "I just needed a break... you know from reality" I say. "I'm glad your home I really am but I'm disappointed avani. Why didn't you come to me and tell me where you were at! I thought you were taken. Gone forever!" She said starting to get worked up. "I'm sorry" I say in almost a whisper. "I just can't look at you right now go to your room!" She said and I quickly walked up to my room and started breaking down. I closed and locked my door. I ran over to my bed throwing my bag down and I just broke down crying. But it wasn't loud it was almost silent. All the emotions I hid on this getaway just slipped out. My head was now pounding from crying so hard. I was going to text Anthony but I knew he was facing his own struggles and I didn't want to bother him. I curled up in a hall on my bed and shivered from the cold air hitting me. But I didn't cover myself up I just closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I feel movement next to me so I turn and groan keeping my eyes closed. Tears still fell from them. I felt a hand wipe them away and I slowly opened my now bloodshot eyes and I saw Anthony looking down at me. I felt immediate relief and I got up and hugged him. I straddled his lap and hid my face in his shirt. His hand ran up and down my back. I haven't eaten yet so I was starving but I didn't say anything. I didn't even want to leave my bedroom. I felt Anthony's hand pull my chin up and he looked into my eyes. He lightly placed his lips on mine and I enjoyed it. I moved farther up on his lap lightly pushing him against my headboard. I felt him smile into the kiss then he pulled away. "Vani" he said. "What" I say crossing my arms. He let out a small laugh and reconnected our lips but this time slower.

After a few more minutes of us just kissing I pulled away and laid my head on his chest. I felt him play with my hair and I moved from on top of him and just laid beside him with my head on his chest. His hand still ran through my hair and I fell asleep.

Anthony's Pov
In the middle of the night I heard avani crying and moving around. I sat up and realized she was having a bad dream. "Vani" I say in a tired tone shaking her a little. "Vani it's just a dream" I say softly and I watch her slowly calm down and open her eyes. They were puffy from her crying in her dream. I watched tears trickle down her cheeks so I wiped them away and kissed her forehead. Her breathing changed back to normal and her heart rate went back down meaning she fell back asleep. I ran my hand up and down her back slowly and soon I fell asleep.
