Chapter 48: Broken

Avani's Pov
...When you love someone with every inch of your heart it's hard to let go... it's hard for that heart to be fixed once broken. People don't realize it but loving someone is like a drug. If you become too addicted and they leave you'll never be or feel the same...

I wake up with puffy eyes and a headache. It was currently 5am and I had school. I had trouble sleeping so I was exhausted. I slowly walked to the shower and got in. When I got out I dressed in black sweats and one of my black hoodies. I threw my hair up and only put on the bare minimum of makeup. I went downstairs and my mom handed me food. "You okay baby I didn't see you at all yesterday" my mom asked as I picked at my food. "Yeah I think I'm just going to go to school early" I say. "You sure?" She asked and I nodded. "I love you" I say and with that I was out the door. I walked into the coffee place and got myself some coffee. A group of ten aged guys kept whistling and checking me out. I rolled my eyes and walked to school drinking my coffee on the way.

I ended up getting to school early. I didn't see the girls nor did I see the boys which was good. I walked inside and this girl bumped into me. She angrily looked at me and threw a punch so I threw one back. Next thing I knew I was in my favorite counselors office and she was complementing my hit. "You know I have to call your mother" she said and I put my face in my hands and nodded. "Is everything okay?" she asked and I shook my head while small tears slowly fell. "Woah woah woah no need for tears just tell me what's on your mind" she said standing up and hugging me. "Is it that boy" she said causing me to laugh. "It's nothing I just want to go home" I say holding my head. "Are you sure?" She asked and I nodded. She gave me one last hug before sending me on my way with the 'ice pack.' A very slight black eye was forming but luckily I caught most of her hit. I walk quickly through the hallways and basically ran home. I went straight to my room and listened as my phone blew up. I powered it down and curled up in a ball on my bed watching movies.

My mom got home early today and surprisingly she didn't yell at me. Instead she hugged me and immediately started to fix my black eye. She also made me a delicious dinner and we just sat and talked. After a while of talking we watched a movie until extremely late. She passed out on the couch so I left her there and put a blanket on her. I then headed upstairs and as soon as I hit my pillow I was out.
