I ran and grabbed Colton's truck keys off the counter and my keys as well before running outside towards his truck and climbing into the driver's seat of his truck.

As soon as I got into the truck, I started it and locked the door to the driver's side.

Colton walked up to the truck and got into the passenger seat.

"Really?" He asked. "My truck?"

I nodded.

"So where we going first?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know." I say. "We're going to go with the flow."

"Are you a hippie?"

"No." I chuckle as I start the drive. "I just want to be spontaneous today."

"You're acting unusual today."

I laugh. "I know." I reply. "You'll see why."

**

"Why are we here?" Colton asked.

I shrug. "We're here because..." I dragged on.

"Because..."

"Jane said it's date time or more like, I told her a story and she decided that I deserved a break."

"You deserved a break or we deserve a break?"

"I guess both of us." I smile.

"The last time we were here, I tried teaching you to swim." He said.

"How did that work out for you?" I ask.

"I failed miserably." That was one of the first signs. Back then, Colton Grey hadn't ever failed at anything and two things he failed at with me was winning me over in half a second and teaching me how to swim. I know I made those small differences and he made those realizations. If anything, I'm happy I didn't give into him. Otherwise, maybe it'd be different.

I chuckled. "I remember."

"So what now?" He asked, looking around at the vacant beach.

I start to strip down to my undergarments. "Old times, yeah?"

He smiles. "Sure."

As I force myself to go into the water, he's right there behind me.

"I've got you." He whispers.

"Colton, I can do it myself." I say.

"I'm not letting you go out there by yourself." He said.

"Why not?"

"Because you have really bad lick when it comes to water." He says, hugging me from behind.

That night he kissed me, he also saved me from drowning.

"Colton." I sighed.

"No, Elliana." He argued. "I barely got there on time. I'm staying right here this time."

I decided there was no use in arguing. "Okay."

As I walked deeper into the deep blue Pacific ocean, I could feel him right behind me.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm standing, Colton." I say. "I'm fine."

"I'm just making sure." He says.

"Colton." I say. "I'm fine. Don't worry too much."

"Did you even learn how to swim in the past five years?" I turn around and face him, raising my eyebrows.
