Colton's POV
"Colton, we're too busy and out of the two of us, you have your hands full." Jace inquired. "Soon, phone calls are going to be a rare thing for her."
"I'm just trying to make it up to her, Jace." I sat on the sofa in the penthouse and scrolled my e-mail.
"She's already forgiven you, Colton." Jace said. "You don't realize it, but despite those past five years, she was able to forgive you in a day."
"She's not mad at me." I say. "I know. She took me on a little trip around L.A. yesterday."
"She took you on a date?"
I nod. "Yeah."
"Football season is coming up, Colton." Jace said. "You better have as many dates as you can with her. Time is running out, man."
"I know."

Kara's POV
Why is this happening?
This has to be some sort of defect.
Unless all of these are defects.
I'm 22.
I'm barely finishing college. I still need to find a job or a career.
"Elliana!" I shout.
"Hold up!"
A tear leaked out.
What if I am not good enough for this job?
I heard soft footsteps enter the bathroom.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"Look at these." I said pointing to the signs on the countertop.
"Kara, you shouldn't be freaking out." She said.
"Why the hell not?" I asked anxiously. "I'm not responsible, I don't have the funds, I need a job, I'm not finished with school! What if they don't like me?"
Elliana grabbed my shoulders as I leaned my head on her shoulder. "Well, you have me and I can help you with money, and you're almost done with school. You have about three months left. I can help you find a job. Responsibility is yours though but this little one in your belly means no more partying and alcohol." She put a hand on my stomach pressing her palm to it. "Tell you what? You tell Mason and I'll make you an appointment?" She removed her hand.
I nodded. "Y-yeah." I stuttered. "That works."
"I believe it'll all work out." I nodded, smiling.
She walked out of the room telling me, "I'm going to make you a fruit smoothie. That's safe for you and the baby, right?" She paused in the doorway.
"Why are you already calling them a baby?" I asked. "Aren't they a fetus?"
"Either way, they're going to come out a baby and a baby is what is forming right now in your lower area of your body so yeah. I'm calling them a baby."
"Make sure it has oranges in it." I said.
"Will do."

Elliana's POV
"Thought we had a million, but baby, we got nothin'"
Fool's Gold by Fitz and the Tantrums blasted from my iPhone.
"Why are you making a smoothie?" I heard a voice enter.
"Because..."
"Because why?" He asked. "I'd picture you more with Mountain Dew."
