'Colton Grey and Elliana Rinders an item?'
The tabloids read that very headline two days after our moment at Santa Monica Pier.
"No more secrets, Elliana." Jane said.
"I know. You told me that a few weeks ago and how James is out of the picture." I say. "So happy for that."
Jane smiled. "Secretly, I am too."
"Secretly?" I ask.
"I can't say that to James otherwise, he'll go batshit crazy." Jane says. "He's crazed about you, Elliana. You realize that?" I shake my head. ""He likes you."
I chuckle. "Well, he's an asshole. He criticizes me. What makes him think he's going to win my heart like that?"
"I don't know." She laughs lightly.
Colton walks into the kitchen after maybe half a minute. "I'm hungry." He says. "Do you have ramen?" It sounds really appetizing right now."
I nod. "It should be in the pantry." I say. "I would have thought that you'd know your way around the kitchen by now."
"I am still an acquaintance to your kitchen but soon, I will be its best friend." He sighs.
I smile and lightly chuckle.
Jane sits on a stool sipping some of her coffee while smiling fondly.
"Are you okay, Jane?" I ask.
"Yeah." She reassures. "I'm fine. Why?"
"You had this interesting look." I say.
Jane had this facade on almost all of the time but this might have been one of the first times she had a genuine smile on her face.
"Oh, no." She shakes her head. "It's nothing."
I smile.
After Colton puts his ramen into the microwave, he paces the kitchen tile.
3 minutes.
2 minutes.
1 minute.
"Come on, ramen." He says. "I know you can come to me faster than that." He stares at the microwave. "I'm so hungry."
"You're so dramatic." I chuckle.
"The last minute is always the longest and it's frustrating." He groans.
"Really?" I ask.
"Really."
Ding!
"Yes, my honeypie!" He yells while opening the microwave and grabbing the ramen. "Ow, son of a fuck!" He yells.
I chuckle.
Luckily, he touched it and he didn't drop it.
I grab napkins from the center of the counter and hand him some.
"Here." I hand them to him and say, "And you know where utensils are."
He smiles and grabs his cup carefully, closes the microwave and gets a fork, walking out the kitchen after.
"You really like him, don't you?" Jane asks.
I smile. "Yeah, I do."
"Have you known him before?" She asks. "Was he a part of your life before your career or something?"
I almost choke.
On what?
My own saliva.
"Why do you ask that?" I question.
