(13) Interrupted at Bad Times

It was now Wednesday, September 25th. Peter had gotten off the crutches before school on Monday & was back out as Spider-man by Tuesday, despite May’s approval. 

The final bell blared through the halls, releasing the teenagers from the cell-like classrooms & to the freedom of their homes. 

Peter was going to walk Michelle home again, like he did every day after school. 

“So, you are just going to be home all alone today”, Peter asked? “What about Miles & your mom”? 

“Miles’ class is taking an after school field trip to Brooklyn today & my mom is covering her friends shift at the hospital today”, Michelle said, she unlocked the apartment door & looked back at Peter. 

“Well, if you need anything, I’m always just a swing away”, Peter said, he had his hands behind his back & rocked on the heels of his feet. 

“Actually, do you want to come in”, Michelle asked? She walked into the doorway, but stopped & stared at Peter from inside her apartment. 

“Yeah, I guess”, Peter said, taking the nervous steps into Michelle’s apartment. “We do have that test on Friday, I’m sure we could study for that”. 

Peter has never felt so nervous or relieved while he was in Michelle’s apartment, her mother always watched over her shoulder or stared Peter down when he was around & he had never purposely been to her home alone. 

“It’s just a simple test, we can relax & maybe watch a movie”, Michelle offered, she walked to the couch & threw the remote to Peter. “Netflix, nothing romantic, nerdy, or anything with musicals”, Michelle ordered, those were her movie rules. 

Peter was a bit upset about the nerdy rule, he wanted to binge-watch Star Wars with Michelle, but she would never come around to watching it with him. 

Michelle walked back to her room & Peter walked to the couch, turning on Michelle’s account on Netflix & started browsing through the movies. 

Peter couldn’t tell when the documentaries ended, but he eventually found his way to the comedy section. 

Peter scrolled past Jumanji, Big Hero 6, Blockers, The Interview, The Other Guys, Central Intelligence, but finally found a movie. 

Michelle walked back out to the living room to see Peter’s selection. 

“Game Night”, Michelle asked? She stood behind the couch Peter was sitting on. “What is it about”? 

Peter went on to explain to Michelle what the movie was about, not looking back to her. 

“Ned, Betty, & his family watched it last month, he said it was really good”, Peter said. “You wanna watch it”? 

“Sounds good”, Michelle said as she walked up to Peter. 

Peter’s back was resting against the armrest & his legs were laying on the couch, Michelle was laying on his right side, she curled into him as she laid on the couch & her head rested on Peter’s chest. 

She wrapped her arms around Peter & slightly pulled his face to look back at her. 

The movie started to play as Michelle pulled Peter into a kiss, she loosely wrapped her arms around Peter’s neck & pulled him in closer to her. 

She pulled herself closer to Peter, as she sat on his lower stomach she towered over him without their lips parting. 

Michelle worked on removing Peter’s cool-gray colored sweater, parting their lips as she pulled the sweater over Peter’s head.
