"He and I are. Okay. We're better than we were. I mean we're not perfect but after 4 kids and 16 years who would be?" I spoke looking between my husband and the counsellor.
"Doc she always does this." He spoke up.
"She pretends everything is A ok and I can't pretend anymore." He blurted and my forced smile fell.
"Would you like to elaborate?"
"No-" I attempted to stop his speech and he sat forward removing his hand from mine.
"Doc. I'm in love with somebody else." He confessed making me immediately put my head into my hands and heard the Dr hmm lowly.
"With. With a man."
"AAAAAAND CUT!" The director yelled and myself and my two co-stars began laughing.
"That was a lot more intense than I thought it'd be." Jessie, my on-screen husband said. His transition between his natural self and his character always psyched me out. He's a great actor. It was an honor working with him.
"I still can't believe they wrote that ending in on the last episode. You really in this thing, a lot of people wouldn't have been so graceful about it." I said as he and I both walked along the set moving towards our trailers. We still had individual scenes to film over the coming days but today was our last joint scene and I was so glad to be finally getting back to my life!
"Acting ain't just my job, its my life, I got to stay challenged." He said and I nodded.
"We go again season 2. What you doing in the mean time? You got anything booked?" He asked and I shrugged then chuckled.
"I have a few scripts i'm looking at. I've had some offers but i'm not sure J." I said as we reached the door of my trailer and he furrowed his brows.
"Not sure?" He questioned and I let out a long sigh.
"It's complicated. You know, Chris is super supportive and he wants me to work. But with a new born and 2 toddlers its kind of impossible to say we're going to both work. This was okay because he's been at home and not touring. But he's about to start working on his new album and both the shows I've been offered are shooting in Atlanta at Tyler Perry studios, and we can't just pick up and move our entire family..." I trailed off realising I was rambling and after a few seconds he laughed.
"Kamaiyah. Chilllll. I'm sure you gone figure it out. Plus, you set for life regardless. I'll see you later. Don't worry." He said after moving to kiss my cheek and pulled away before walking away and leaving me to stand outside my trailer for a few moments in thought, before I stepped up the platform and pulled open the trailer door.
"Hey mommy's babyyy" I said lifting my baby girl out of her sitters arms.
"Thank you Rosa." I said briefly looking at her and she smiled widely watching me hold baby Nova.
"Are you smiling mama?" I said in her face and she whaled her hands up clearly excited to see me after almost 2 hours on set without a break.
When my rainbow baby came almost 8 months ago I couldn't have been happier. For the first time in my life, things were... good. Things were normal. She wasn't planned, but she cane at just the perfect time and I was over joyed knowing I was finally in a position to be a happy mother and raise my kids in a healthy environment.
Zion and Heiress were both 3 1/2 going on 30 and a hand full. Jasmine signed a huge modelling contract in Paris and Chris and I encouraged her to take it so we had Heiress full time for 3 weeks out of the month and Jasmine would fly in to take her out to France with her for a week in the month. It wasn't great for Heir and I didn't like the idea of the back and fourth, but as much as I accepted her and loved her like my own, she wasn't, and I kept my opinions to myself. It was a huge responsibility, but I appreciated that the kids got to be together.
"She just ate so she should be falling to sleep any moment now." Rosa informed and I nodded.
"This lil girl always fighting herself to stay awake. She knows she's tired." I joked watching Nova trying to remain active even though she was clearly tired. She is just like her father.
"How do you feel about wrapping up season 1?" Rosa asked me as I sat down and I sighed.
"It's been a great run. I hope it's well received." I said rushing to finish speaking so I could answer my phone.
"Hello?" I asked lowly and after some moments of rambling he spoke.
"Wsup mama? How was filming?" Chris asked sweetly and I smiled hearing his voice.
"It was good I literally just got done. Where are ya'll?" I asked still smiling widely.
"I'm at my crib. Mama watching Zi and Heiress at your spot." He informed and I nodded, then sighed.
"So you won't be over there when I get home?" I asked and heard him sigh.
"Not tonight baby. I'll come back before breakfast in the morning?" He asked more than stated and I nodded.
"Okay." I said shortly and he sighed again.
"Where's my baby girl?" He asked swiftly changing the subject and I sighed then too.
"She's here. Falling asleep. I feel bad, Rosa had her all day now I won't have any time to play with her." I told him and heard him chuckle.
"What's funny?" I shot and he laughed out loud this time.
"You know Nova ain't fuckin whitchu like that anyway." He said and I couldn't help the laugh to seal my bruised ego. He was right. Nova was, unlike Zion, a straight daddy's girl. She had all the energy in reserves for Chris and I just got the cries and attitude.
"You'd think she forgot about the 9 long, strenuous months she spent in my stomach ruining my figure the way she acts man." I said coming down from a laugh.
"She ain't ruin shit. You look better than ever Kam." He said sweetly making me blush and for a second I forgot about our current situation and allowed myself to feel what I felt, happy.
"... I'm going to go. I'll call you when I'm with the kids." I said after a few moments of silence between us.
"Aight. Please do. I'll see you in the morning?" He asked sounding hopeful and I nodded as if he could see me.
"Yeah. I'll let you know." I said finally and shared flat byes before we disconnected.
"What?" I asked catching Rosa sending daggers my way and she threw her hands up in defence.
"You two confuse me. You're in Love miha. What are you waiting for?" She pressed as she had been for the past 9 months and I rolled me eyes.
"Speak to him. He's the one who did what he did. Not me." I shot back getting worked up already and she shook her head.
"You're confusing your children." She added and I shook my head.
"They're not your concern." I rebutted and she didn't say another word before we began gathering ourselves to leave the set.
