I jolted up seeing my friends standing over me. I groaned and rubbed my eyes,
"Thank you" I smiled tiredly,
"The surf's great this morning. You up for a birthday wave?" Calihan grinned.
"Always" I laughed, "Now get out so I can change" I hopped out of bed.
After changing, I headed downstairs and grabbed a board and a towel and walked down to the ocean, taking a seat and looked at my phone, a text from Ashton already popping up:

My loud friends came running past me and into the water. I ditched my phone and towel and followed them out for an amazing surf session.

Getting out of the water, we all walked up to the house and started making breakfast, all sitting at the table to eat together,
"Oh, so we're having a party for you tonight" Jasper spoke up making me groan. It's not really a party for me. It's a party for them. Plus I hate my birthday. It's just a day of bad memories.
"I don't want a party" I told them,
"Don't be a pooper. It'll be fun" Elise promised. I sighed but nodded,
"Oh check your phone. I took a picture of you surfing. You should post it" Layla perked. I nodded and checked my text, seeing a pretty good photo which I did post:

I smiled when Ashton's comment popped up. I liked and replied to his comment then sat my phone down and saw all my friends were staring at me,
"Dummer boy comment?" Elise smirked. I nodded and looked down.
"So everyone is coming over at 7" Calihan announced, "Tate, you're with me today while the other three get the house ready"
