{ Ashton }

Tatum invited me to come to the Fourth of July party they were hosting. She invited the guys and girls too, but they already had plans.

I got to Tatum's early, as requested, and parked my car in the driveway over by the Jeeps. I'll never get over how many were in this driveway.

As I got out of my car, tossing my backpack on my back and pocketing my keys, I saw two guys walking out to leave,

"Oh hey dude! You must be Ashton. I'm Jasper" the shaggy haired one spoke. I knew these two guys lived here,

"Nice to meet you" I smiled as the other stepped towards me and shook my hand,

"Calihan" the other nodded, "Tate's inside in the kitchen, we just got back from a morning surf. Just walk on in" he smiled,

"Thanks. Nice meeting you" I nodded then walked to the house as they climbed in the blue Jeep.

I walked in the house and heard a bunch of chatter in the kitchen. I could see some movement too. I sat my backpack down on the bottom step then walked through the house,

"Ashton!" Tatum's face lit up. She quickly walked over and hugged me, before looking up and pecking my lips. I scanned the room and saw Elise and Layla,

"Morning girls" I smiled as I kept my arms around Tatum. Her's still rested around my waist,

"Did you run into Jasper and Calihan?" Elise asked me. Tatum looked up at me too,

"Yeah" I laughed, "They were walking out as I got out"

"Did they hound you?" Layla chuckled,

"Nah, just introduced themselves" I spoke, a little confused,

"They were too busy worrying about getting the fireworks and alcohol then", Elise laughed, "Calihan will probably hound you at some point. He really looks out for Tate"

"He's like a big brother" Tatum rolled her eyes.

She let go of me and walked back to where she was previously sitting then motioned me over with a laugh.

Once Tatum finished eating, we went up to her room. I changed into my swim trunks and tossed a tank top on. Tatum changed bathing suits and put a tank top on over to top, but left her bikini bottoms exposed.

Tatum went and flopped onto her bed. I followed behind and flopped on my stomach next to her, making her laugh,

"What time are people coming?" I questioned and adjusted my body to where I could cuddle her,

"3:00, which gives us plenty of time to nap" Tatum spoke and grabbed a blanket, tossing it over us. I laughed and kissed the top of her head and let her get comfortable. She fell asleep first and I was right behind her.

{ Tatum }

I woke up with a head on my chest and light snores filling my ears. Opening my eyes finally, I saw Ashton still asleep. His arms were around my torso like he was clinging on for dear life.

I laughed lightly and pushed some of his hair from his face, accidentally waking him up,

"Hey" he giggled and untangled himself,

"Hey" I laughed, "You're a cuddler" I joked,

"Oh whatever! You should see you. The last time you stayed the night, you were so close to me we could morph into one person" he jokingly rolled his eyes,

"Point taken" I smiled. He smiled too and lifted his head just enough so our lips could connect. With Ashton and I still being in the new couple phase, these kisses tend to last a while.

We pulled back and gained our breath back that we lost in the make out session. I stupidly let out that giggle thing I do when I blush or get nervous. I quickly turned away, completely embarrassed,

"Hey, don't look away. The giggle is cute" Ashton laughed and pecked my lips again.

Once everyone showed up, Ashton stayed with me as we walked around and talked to everyone, both with beers in our hands.

The sun was going down and Ashton and I were talking to Calihan. Ashton was leaned against the deck and I was leaned back against his chest. Ashton and Calihan discovered they both love cars so that's what they were talking about.

I was just listening to them. I was glad they were getting along. I thought that when Calihan first walked over he was going to hound Ashton, but he just started to talk like normal.

The sun eventually went down and we all went down to the beach. Ashton sat down then pulled me to sit between his legs. I happily complied and we watched the fireworks until my phone buzzed. It was a text from Elise with a picture attached of Ashton and I. I smiled and saved it and Ashton sent it to himself.

I nuzzled back into Ashton and the fireworks continued. Ashton kept pressing kisses to my head as we watched.

Once they ended, Ashton and I went up to my room to go to bed. We were both pretty tired.

I let Ashton take a shower in my room and I took one in Elise's. When I walked back in my room, Ashton was already in my bed, shirtless,

"You gonna just stare or come get in bed with me?" Ashton laughed. I rolled my eyes and walked over, climbing under my covers.

I rolled to curl up in Ashton's chest. He wrapped his arms around my and I looked up to him as he looked down at me. He dipped his head and connected our lips.

Ashton brought my bottom lip between his and sucked lightly before slipping his tongue in my mouth. I adjusted my body to where I was halfway laying on Ashton. His hands were now on my hips and one of mine was behind his head, playing with his hair, while the other rested on his bare chest.

Ashton pulled back and smiled,

"You're cute" he pecked my lips again, "Now get some sleep" he pulled my covers up over us. I smiled and let my head rest on his shoulder,

"Goodnight Tatum" was the last thing I heard him whisper.
