The surfer meets the rockstar. Two completely different fields of work. But, they hit it off and start falling for each other, with a little help from the little old cafe owner.

The Hawaiian sun peeking in the windows woke me up. I rolled over and grabbed my phone, seeing a text from Ashton. I smiled and looked at the time- 6:30 am- before opening messages:

Ash🥰: [ Good morning☀️ I miss you! And to inform you, everyone wants to hang out when you get home ]
[ Good morning☀️. Miss you too! And sounds like a fun idea ]
Ash🥰: [ Awesome! What all are you doing today? ]
[ Going to my grandpas shop to make my board to surf with in Australia then going out with friends tonight. I expect you to be the first like and comment on the insta post😂 ]
Ash🥰: [ oh you know it! ]

The door to the room opened and I dropped my phone while my grandpa walked in,
"We need to get going if you want your board done" he told me,
"Alright. I'm getting up now" I smiled. He nodded and left the room. He's missed having someone here all the time. When I lived here, we hung out all the time. My grandpa had always been my bestfriend. He even got me through my first heartbreak.

We walked into the little shop and I smiled big. I spent a lot of time here.
We went to the back of the shop where my grandpa put a blank board up on the table then handed me a bunch of tools and colors,
"Go crazy" he laughed and took a seat, grabbing a beer from the mini fridge, even if it was only 7 am.
I ended up going with some gray fins then took my colors and started working on the bottom board design. I decided to go with a real, typical, hawaiin design; the floweres, a shaka, waves, and maybe an 'Aloha',
"So TT, tell me about this boyfriend" My grandpa spoke up,
"He's amazing. He's 24 and a drummer. He's Australian, so super tall. He likes cars and has a lemon tree. He's super nice and has the most adorable giggle" I blushed,
"As long as you're happy Tate" Grandpa smiled.
I kept working on my board and once it was done, my grandpa got to sealing and pefecting it so I was able to use it for the championship.

I started to get ready to go out with my friends when my phone started ringing and a FaceTime call from Ashton popped up,
"Hey!" I grinned as his face popped up,
"Hey!" He giggled, pushing a hand through his brown curls. I smiled and sat my phone up so I could still talk while I got ready,
"What are you and your girls doing tonight?" He asked. He was leaned back with one arm behind his head,
"Dinner then probably just walk around downtown" I shrugged and straightened my hair,
"Ahh. Well you look cute" Ashton told me,
"Thank you" I nodded.
Ashton and I talked the entire time I did my makeup. Apparently he was going out with the guys.
Once I finished getting ready, I put all my stuff away and sat on the edge of my bed,
"I've got to go. My friend will be here soon" I spoke,
"Okay. Have fun! Be safe! I'll talk to you later! Bye!" Ashton chirped then hung up. I grabbed my money and headed outside,

"TATUM!" Abigail, one of my closest friends in Hawaii, screamed as she wrapped her arms around me,
"I've missed you!" I smiled and hugged her back before pulling away,
"Oh my god! Bailee and Maya are so excited to see you" she beamed and dragged me to her car.
As soon as Bailey and Maya saw me, it was the same reaction I got from Abigail,
"Now tell us about that boyfriend" Maya winked.
{Ashton}
After I hung up with Tatum, I drove to her house to talk to her housemates- she thinks I'm hanging out with the guys. I've only taken her on one proper date and I want to take her on a good one. So I needed some help and the people she lived with were my best options.
I parked by the carport, right behind Tatum's Jeep and got out, walking to the door. I knocked and waited a few seconds before it swung open and Jasper stood in front of me,
"Hey dude. Uh, I thought you knew Tate's out of town" he spoke,
"I know. I actually would like to talk to you, Layla, and Elise" I laughed, nervously.
Jasper stepped aside and led me to the back deck where the girls were,
"Hey Ashton. What's up?" Layla smiled as I took a seat,
"I wanna take Tate on a date. A cool one. We've only really been on one date. I just don't know what to do" I told them my situation.
The three of them started saying ideas, then Elise gasped,
"The zoo. She's never been to a zoo. She wants to go to one so bad" she told me, making my eyes widen,
"She's never been to a zoo?" I was shocked,
"Oh yeah. She's been begging for us to go. You should take her" Jasper agreed,
"Thanks guys" I smiled.

When I got in my car, I looked up the best zoo and bought tickets for the day after she got back before going home and getting in bed.
But, I didn't sleep when I got in bed. I was scrolling through my phone for hours, then Tatum's post popped up and I instantly liked and commented
