Being a surfer pays well but you also need a little side job. So that's why I'm sitting on the beach at 6 AM in a lifeguards tower. My tower is only a 10 minute walk from the house so it's not too bad. I usually lifeguard every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning, unless I'm out of town for surfing of course.

The only people out in the water right now were surfers. They'd all be gone by 8 AM when the tourist and regular beachgoers show up.

Like I predicted, as soon as 8 AM hit, the beach started to get crowded and by 11 AM it was pretty packed,

"Hey, surfer girl?" I heard as I sat on top of the tower. I looked around and leaned my head over the side, seeing Ashton standing at the bottom,

"Hey" I grinned, "Hang on" I told him. I quickly climbed down the tower and he hugged me tight,

"I went by your house but Layla told me you were here" he giggled and let go of me,

"What are you doing here then?" I asked, using my hand to shade my eyes from the sun. I forgot my sunglasses this morning,

"Well first, here's some sunglasses" Ashton laughed and placed the Ray Bans he was just wearing on my face, letting me lower my hand,

"Second, I wanted to know if you'd like to go out with me tonight?" He asked with a smile. I know I grinned big,

"Like a date?" I smirked,

"Like a date" Ashton laughed,

"I'd love too" I answered.

"Awesome. I'll pick you up at 7:00 then we will grab dinner and go back to my house to get comfy and watch a movie?" He spoke,

"Sounds good" I smiled. Ashton smiled too and kissed my cheek before walking off. I couldn't help but do a little happy dance and get all giddy.

As soon as my shift was up, Jasper took my spot and I raced home and straight to Layla's room where both she and Elise were.

"I'm going on a date with Ashton tonight!" I beamed,

"What are you all doing?" Elise laughed,

"Dinner then going back to his house" I answered, still grinning from ear to ear,

"Ooo someone's getting dick tonight" Layla sang. I rolled my eyes,

"Probably not. He hasn't even kissed me yet" I spoke.

"Oh, you're definitely getting kissed tonight. You may even have a boyfriend tonight" Elise smiled.

"Who's sunglasses are on your head?" Layla questioned. I reached up and pulled them off, laughing,

"Ashton's. He came to the beach and put them on me when I was talking and the sun was in my face" I smiled,

"Aww, she's blushing" Layla teased,

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes, "Will you all help me get ready later?" I asked,

"Of course we will" Elise nodded. I thanked both of them and walked to my room.

When 5:30 hit, I went and got in the shower. I washed my hair and body and shaved, then got out and dried off. I dried my hair and tossed on a pair of shorts and a bra then walked into my room where Layla and Elise were sitting on my bed.
