I loved him. At least I think it was love. My hands never got sweaty when I talked to him. I never got nervous. I could talk to him. But I always had to fight myself. I had impulses to kiss him.
But know he was gone. Percy Jackson was gone.
Me, Thalia, and Silena were on a quest for him. According to the Oracle Percy won't be saved. But I refuse to believe that. Percy was probably begging for me to come get him.
"We will find him Annie." Thalia said.
She was the only one who knew about my feelings for Percy other than Silena. She had overheard me talking about it. I had looked to her for answers. But the look on her face told me what I needed to know. She didn't know.
I nodded. "I know." I replied.
"Curse that Oracle!" Silena spat. I laughed a little. "Any signs of him?" I asked. Thalia felt out. "Yeah but there's someone else. Someone I haven't tracked in years." She said. I looked at her. "Who?" I asked. Thalia looked hesitant to answer. "Luke." She said.
I blinked. "Dam it! I knew it! I saw that flash in his eyes but I ignored! I should have kept him away!" I said.
Silena looked at me. "What's wrong? She asked. I held my head. "Luke is in love woth Percy. And I knew about it." I said. Thalia recoiled. "How did you not tell Chiron wjen Luke turned!" She yelled.
I shook my head. "Because I forgot! He admitted to me and I told him to just wait it out. I thought he got over the crush when he tried to poison Percy. But it was an act. He knew I would have told Chiron if I suspected and we would have prevented this. Bit it's to late. Luke is making Percy fall in love with him. If we get their to late Percy will be in love with him." I said.
Silena fished a drachma from her pocket. "IM them." She said.
I nodded. Grabbed Thalia's water bottle and sprayed it into mist. "O goddess please exept my offering. Luke Castellon please." The mist shimmered until an image cleared.
What I saw almost made me break down and cry. Luke was kissing Percy. If you were really looking you could see that Percy was frozen. Not accept nor rejecting. Luke pulled away. "Still mad at me?" He asked. Percy scowled "Yes. I will never stop hating you Luke. You took me from my friends and family." He said.
Luke frowned. "I get it but I had no other choice." He said. Percy glared at the sky. "Luke you're not okay. The Titans have driven you to a point near insanity. Take us back to camp Luke. Mr. D can heal it. We can heal you." Percy said.
Luke attempted to pull Percy back into a kiss. Percy pushed away.
"Luke this is real. You can't take me from my friends and family then expect things to be alright. Lule take me back to camp. I promised my mom. I-I told her I wouldn't scare her like this anymore." He said.
Luke smiled. "Once they stop looking for us we can visit her." He said.
Luke side eyed me. "Hi Annie." He said. I froze. Percy turned to the IM. "Wisegirl!" He said. Luke scowled. Annabeth smiled. "Percy we will rescue you." I said. Percy seemed to hesitate. "Tell my mom I'm okay." He said. I nodded.
Luke looked at Thalia. "Sup Thals." He said.
Thalia scoffed. Silena glared at him. "Luke." She said. Luke didn't even reply. "Look I know you are on a quest to save Percy or whatever but he's fine. You can come join us Annie. I would invite you Thals but you already have a hunt." He said.
Percy looked away. Luke just chuckled. "IM me when you make up your mind. " he said.
He looked at Percy and slashed the message. Thalia, and Silena stared in shock. "We have to save Percy as soon as possible." I finally said. Silena looked to the ground. "Maybe we shouldn't." She said.
I glared at her. "What do you mean! You saw it! Luke is giving Percy Stockholm Syndrome or something! You would just leave him!" I yelled.
Silena flinched. "No! Luke is in love with Percy right? If Percy is truly unhappy how could Luke keep him there? If Luke really loves Percy, and he does Percy will convince him. We have to give Percy a chance." She said.
I shook my head. "Luke is unstable. We don't know what he'll do. Percy is in danger love or no love. We have to rescue him. Percy is probably playing for time. Knowing him his mouth is going to get him in trouble." I replied.
Thalia nodded. "Didn't know he was into seaweed brains. No wonder he never liked me."
Thalia and I laughed. "It's a blessing in disguise. Would you want to be where Percy is right now?" I asked. Thalia shook her head.
