Annabeth Chase sat there in the wilderness with tears staining her cheeks.
She had been trying her best to stay strong but it was hard. She was finally losing hope.
Would they ever save Percy? Would he even want to be saved.
Annabeth had always knew how Luke felt about Percy. That was why Annabeth had backed off.
His feelings were way more intense than hers. Or so she tried to convince herself.
What if by the time they got there Luke had already won the sea prince's heart.
She kinda hoped that was what happened.
It would be easier if Percy was taken.
She could get over him this way. Maybe it would all work out. Annabeth could join them.
She could be on the run with Luke and Percy.
Luke might even know where Amity was. She could even be with them. She always missed her sister Amity.
It could all be fine.
But would it really.
If she went there and Luke and Percy were together could she really handle that.
Could she really watch them be affectionate.
And for that matter could she even feel at place.
Luke had seemed to change. Would she be able to tolerate his change.
She didn't know. But she was dam ready to find out.
