Nico Di Angelo stood in front of the sea prince in complete irritation.
"Percy you can't stay here!" He yelled.
Annabeth quietly sighed. "I'm sorry seaweed brain but I promised I wouldn't interfere."
Percy glared at the ghost king. "I have to stay Nico. I-I think I'm in love." He said.
"Why! He kidnapped you! He doesn't deserve anyone's love!" The son of Hephaestus growled.
Annabeth sighed. "Nico stop yourself before you say the one thing you'll forget."
Nico ignored the daughter of Athena. "Percy we have to go. Now."
Percy shook his head. "I can't Nico. I'm sorry I know how you feel about me but I can't."
The ghost king quakes in his boots. "You think I'm that fucking pathetic! I felt something for you! Yeah I did! But I'm not some bitch to wait Percy! I moved on! This has nothing to do with that!"
Bianca looked to Annabeth. "Shouldn't we step in?"
Annabeth shook her head. "We promised Bi. Suppress your motherly urges."
Bianca nodded. "Right. If I step in Nico will get mad at me all over again." She said.
Nico grabbed the son of Poseidon's arm. "I'm not going to tell you again! COME ON!"
Water of the near by pond hit Nico full force in the face sending him flying.
Bianca glared at the boy controlling the water.
Water surrounded Percy in a swirl. "Stop now Nico. I'm not leaving."
Nico stood up in rage with shadows surrounding him. "You want to fight. Fine let's fight."
Nico ran at Percy full force with shadows hitting him like whips.
Percy sighed and hit Nico with waves sending him flying past Bianca and Annabeth.
Annabeth stood. "Nico I know I promised not to interfere but this is going to far. Somebody's going to get hurt."
Nico stood and ran back at Percy. "You know what I'm not going to hold back anymore Percy!"
Luke walked up with a shield. "Perce get back."
"No Luke don't hurt him. H-he's just hurt okay. I'll handle it." Percy said.
Luke reluctantly stepped back. "Fine. But I won't let him hurt you."
Nico paused with the shadows surrounding himself. Was this really worth it?
Was he even thinking clearly or was the anger and hurt he was feeling overpowering him.
If the sea prince wanted to stay shouldn't Nico let him?
This made perfect sense and he might have stopped before things got even more out of hand.
He might have walked away and never looked back.
He might have stayed how he was. With his back turned to the traitorous son of Hermes and the sea prince.
But he didn't. Nico Di Angelo looked back just once. Only for a second. And what he saw fueled him to change his life forever.
The son if Hades charged.
He charged with all the rage he had inside of him.
Nico wouldn't believe in that moment that Percy would have lashed back at him. Or ever tried to hurt him.
