         "You want a hunnybun?"

Will smiled nad nodded. Nico and Will had been closer then ever the past few days.

They hadn't gotten into any fights for three straight days.

Nico handed him a hunnybun and dug into his own plate of eggs. "What're we doing today?"

Will smiled a bit. "I thought we could go on that suprise date you fully  threatened Grover about."

Nico blushed. "Sounds cool."

Will finished up his hunnybun and turned towards Nico. "You really should talk to Percy. I think it's time your issues get settled."

Nico sighed. "I'll think about it."

Will kissed Nico on the shoulder and left. Amity flopped down where Will was sitting and smiled at Nico. "Hi."

Nico looked back at her. "Hey."

Amity didn't say anything else and Nico was grateful for that. They just silently ate until Amity finally turned to look at him.

"Percy sent me over here. He wants to know if you'll meet him in your cabin."

Nico hesitated. He should say no. Right? It would only make sense to deny this offer and ignore Percy forever. Right?

"Fine. When?"

Amity looked a little taken-aback. She had obviously been expecting him to say no. Then again he was too.

"In twenty minutes. I'll tell him."

And with one last smile Amity got back and told Percy.

Nico got up to go to the cabin. After about five minutes if waitin was Percy barged through the door.

Nico rolled his eyes. "Be quick I have a date tonight."

Percy nodded. "I'm really sorry Nico. About everything I heard and hearing it in the first place."

Nico nodded doing the best he could not to turn defensive. "It's f- oka- it's not a horrible thing."

There was no use in mulling over all th other other things Percy had said because it was a Nico had expected: boring and cheesey.

"So I hope you can forgive me and we can be friends."

Nico hesitated for a moment. "I forgive you."

Percy smiled. "That's great."

"But I don't think it's a good idea for us to be friends."

Percy frowned. "You don't?"

Nico rolled his eyes. "You do? We we're only ever on friendly terms when I got here."

Percy shook his head. "That's not true. There some recent ones too."

"What?"

Percy racked his brain to think. "You were showing me and Grover to play mythomagic. And you were smiling and nice."

"Percy that was five years ago."

Percy's eyes widened his could it have been five years ago? Percy kept racking his brain to think of the Nico in front of him being his friend.

He couldn't.

He could remeber times when Nico was Reyna's friend just as he easily remembered Bianca, Hazel and surprisingly enough Jason but he had none of him.

That couldn't be true. They had been friends. They had to have been. Was the only true time Nico was ever his friend when he was ten?

Why had he assumed Nico was his friend when it was clear they were not?

Why did he even really care if this emo teen didn't like him? It shouldn't matter, should it?

It mattered because he cared about said emo kid and wanted him to be his friend.

But he wasn't now and he wasn't before. The only time they were Nico was ten.

Nico shook his hand in Percy's face. "Are you okay?"

Percy nodded. "Yeah I gotta go see Annie. Talk to you later?"

Nico nodded. "Percy?"

"Yeah?"

Nico slightly smiled. "Stay away from the lake with the caves tonight. I've got a date."

Percy laughed and nodded. "I won't." And with that he left.

His conversation with Nico stayed in his mind all day.

Normally Percy would go to his thinking place near the lake but Will and Nico were having a date their.

He wasn't very interested in seeing them have sex.

He decided to just go to Annabeth's instead. He finished his lunch and walked to the Athena cabin.

He knew that Athena cabin were having a book club in the big house but he also knew Annabeth hadn't went.

When he got to the Athena cabin he pushed open the door.

Annabeth practically had her tongue down Amity's throat in a heated makeout session.

Annabeth's shirt was gone as was Amity's.

Percy highly regretted coming.

When the girls spotted him they jumped six or seven feet in the air.

"Percy!" Amity shrieked.

"I'm so sorry! I wanted to talk to Annie but you two um carry on."

Amity put her shirt back on. "No. No. You talk to her. See you later Annie."

Annabeth glared at him once Amity left. "This better be good."
