Bettys
Tonight was perfect. The moonlight hit the dewy road and playfully ripple into unsynchronised patterns. I checked 'find my phone' at the restaurant and saw that Jug and Emily were still at the bar. Chris and I walk in hand in hand and there is an odd silence that consumes the bar. I walk over to Fangs who sits coddling a beverage. He stands up and takes me into a hug, "Wo, are you ok?" I ask him. "He looks at me slightly confused and then he says, "It's Emily... she had an accident..." I cut him off and say, "Where is she?!" He looks down the stairs and I race off. When I reach the bottom and enter the doctor's room Emily lays down on the medical room bed. Before I say anything, Jughead, whom I only just noticed was sitting in the corner, places a finger to his lips to silence me. We walk outside and Chris joins us down the stairs. "What happened!?" I ask Jug. Jughead recounts the events that lead to my daughter laying in a medical room unconscious, while I struggle to keep along. When he finishes talking I yell at him, "Why didn't you call me!" He looks at me as if I had two heads and remarks, "I did. Your boyfriend picked up the phone and hung up as soon as I said Emily's name and complained about me interrupting your date. I tried to call you back 10 TIMES! but you didn't pick up. So don't be getting angry at me for not answering YOUR phone! I was the one who was here with Emily, while you were off... canoodling." I look at him with more rage than I have ever felt for one sing human being. "You want to talk about being here," he immediately regrets what he says and prepares himself for my very expressive response, "you were GONE Jughead. For 5 years, I raised our daughter, I looked after your gang, I have made incomprehensible sacrifices for our daughter, that I would do for her again without hesitation because that is what good parents do!" Chris places his hand on my lower back and I head back upstairs, to the multiple people that undoubtedly heard Jughead and I's very personal, now public argument.

Emily's pov

I wake up with the worst head pain I have ever experienced, and a great deal of confusion to where I was. A warm hand bush against my shoulder and I realise it's Jamie. His smell of sandalwood engulfs my nostrils and he faces me. "Hey Emily," he smiles at me and takes me into an embrace. I hug him back despite the overwhelming pain. "I'm sorry you lost the game," I tell him. He slightly chuckles and says, "I didn't care about the game... I cared about you... care about you. But, more than a friend." I am greatly taken aback by his spontaneous confession and have been rendered speechless. So like the floundering idiot I am, I pull up my hand and give him a thumbs up and a large grin. Surprisingly, he laughs and says, "Em, I think you may have hit your head too hard," before I can respond, he presses his lips to mine and brings his hand up to my cheek. My first kiss! Omg, what do I do! Do I kiss back? How do I kiss back? Where does my tongue go? How long does it last? What do I do with my hands?

All these questions danced around in my brain. A distant voice starts to say my name, and it becomes more distinct and comprehensible. It's my dad, right before my eyes, Jamie starts to vanish, along with his soft and subtle lips. The room becomes engulfed by darkness and my eyes open and adjust to ever so bright light. I soon realise that my interactions with Jamie were just a dream. "Dad? Dad where am I?" I ask. "You're in the medical room. Do you remember? You fell and hit your head outside the bar?" "Yeah I remember everything fine," I rub my eyes and say, "I just want to go home please." "Sure Bear," my parents say in unison. My dad speaks up and says, "I brought my bike, so you can drive home with your mother?" I pout my lip slightly and get off the bed. I walk up in front of my parents. When we come up to the top of the stairs, the serpents part to make an aisle and ask me if I'm ok as I walk shameless past them. Before I reach the exit, I see Jamie looking guilty as hell. I walk over to him and take him into a hug. Although he is a whole foot taller than me I manage to kiss him on the cheek and say, "Hey, I don't blame you for what happened, get over it." "You may not, but I do and so does everyone in this bar." I look around at the audience we seem to of attracted. My parents and Chris are waiting and looking intensely my way. I turn back to Jamie and say, "And by everyone, you mean my dad?" I roll my eyes and walk over to my dad, whisper in his ear, "Please don't be mad at Jamie, he was here for me when you couldn't be." He purses his lips in consideration and walks over to Jamie, with me close on his footsteps. He stands in front of him and says, "Don't worry about what happened, but never let anything like it happen again. Do you understand me?" "Yes, King." Then my dad looks at me and I say, "Yes daddy." He nods his head and we walk outside.
