Bettys pov
It's been 5 months since Jughead and I broke up, I'm looking for a different job so that I can quit my current one at the Wyrm. It's becoming really hard to look like a serpent with the tight and revealing clothing as I am starting to show. Though the morning sickness has been less severe other changes like my breasts growing bigger, mood swings, cravings, tiredness and my changing sense of gravity are all downsides of being pregnant. Though Tony has been a huge help with taking up some of my shifts for free and helping me wherever possible. I have bought a car and decided to move out of V's and into Kevin's. As I quote to Veronica "I don't want to be around you and Archies constant newly engaged nakedness." She told me that I can live in one of the 6 other room that the house has, as can my baby but I had to decline.

Jughead however has been doing everything possible to try and get back together with me. And I mean everything, and there are moments when I feel like nothing has changed and I almost tell him about the baby. But then I remember him sticking his tongue down Missys throat. And that's another thing... The baby. Him being around and always touching me is making it harder to hide her from him and him being the leader of one of the largest gangs in the continent, puts a target on my little girls back. What kind of mother would do that to their child. I know that Jughead has the right to know, and maybe I'm trying to punish him by keeping her from him, but all in all I am looking out primarily for the safety of my unborn child.

I'm tending the bar and on cue Jughead walks down the stairs and stats waking over to me. I meet his eyes and ahhhhh, you could get lost in them; a sea of bluey and grey. I look back down at my job application, "Morning baby" he says walking around the bar and snakes is arms around my waist. I duck out of his hold and tell him to go away. He looks at the form on the bar, "What are you doing with a job application?" He frowns. "I'm going to eat it." I say sarcastically. "Don't you want to work here anymore." He asks. "Quite frankly, I do, I just don't want to work around you." I mumble. He clearly heard it because it was evident that he was hurt by my comment.

"Jughead, we have to stop seeing each other, it's not healthy for you me or the bab.... the bar" I quickly divert too. "You cheated on me remember, twice, with the same person. I can't do it anymore, I can't be around you, it hurts when I see you." "I didn't mean to hurt you." He tells me

Jugheads pov
"Well you did" she adds "Don't you see jughead. You didn't even mean to hurt me and you still did, you didn't think how your actions would effect me, I can't trust you any more" she says. I now notice a few serpents looking at us, but I don't care. "Betty look at me. Please Betty." I beg. She reluctantly turns her head up and looks into my eyes. "Betty, I love you so much, you are the stars to my moon, you are my everything, my world," I grab her hands "Betty you are the reason I wake up everyday..." just then Missy walks into the bar. Betty looks furious, and I can guarantee she is not as pissed as me. Bettys eyes dart to the Jacket she's wearing. She yanks her hands out of my hold. I reach for them again but she takes a step back, "You made her a serpent Jughead?!" "No!" I say. "Where the hell did you get that jacket?! Take it off!" I glare at Missy. She just stands there and says "No. I think I'll keep it on thank you." Fangs pretends to walk pass Missy and drop his drink on her, "Opps, now I guess you'll have to take it off" he says. I look at Betty who grabs her stuff and glare at me, "Consider this my formal resignation." She slaps me hard across the face and walks to the exit of the bar. "Excuse me" she says to Missy who blocks her exit. "No excuse me" Missy says and pushes Betty against the wall where she hits her head and collapses.

"Betty! Get the hell out of my bar" I yell at Missy, I pull out the gun in my back pocket and point it dead straight at her forehead, she freezes and an ice-cold stare glazes over her face. "Next time I see you," I say "I don't hesitate to pull the trigger." I put my gun away and pick Betty up fireman's style. I get her keys from her purse and drive to her to the hospital.

When we arrive the doctor lies her on a portable bed and takes of her jumper. "How far along is she." He asks. "What do you mean?" "How far along in her pregnancy is she?" he asks again. "I'm not sure" I tell him. "We're going to have to ask you to stay here sir, we'll take good care of her."

2 hours later a nurse calls out "Anyone here for Elizabeth Copper." "Yep, that's me" I say. "Room 420 sir." "Thank you" I tell her. I enter the room and shes hooked up to an IV drip. "How is she doctor?" "She suffered a very mild concussion and some bruising on the head." He paused for a moment writing something down on her chart then continues speaking, "she may experience some nausea for the next few days but that's normal, and the child is completely safe and healthy" he adds.

I wait in the room for Betty to wake up. "Hey" Betty says and smiles, she sounds soo cute when she's waking up. Suddenly, a frown appears across her face. "The baby's fine." I tell her and she looks extremely relieved, but not long after the frown reappears. "How did you know I was pregnant." "I didn't" I begin to say "the doctor asked how far along you were and then later told me that the child is safe and healthy." "Oh" she says. "Betts, I got to ask... is it mine?" She doesn't answer and a whole minute goes buy until she nods slowly. I stride up to her and embrace her in a hug. "I'm going to be a dad?" I start to say through tears of joy. "Your not mad I kept her a secret from you." "Betty of course not, I love you." He kisses me and I kiss him back bringing my hands to his neck and into his hair. He gets onto the bed not breaking the kiss even for a second. Then he pulls back, he sits on his knees and says "Her?" I nod, "we're having a girl Jug."

Sorry I know this chapter is a lot shorter than the others. Next one is extra long and comes out Tuesday.
