CHAPTER SIX

September fell off as October took over. Wet season started to roll in as the usual whiff of the steam floating from the ground started to wrap my senses. The intricate melody of rain against the roof made me feel the hauling of soothing comfort. Rivulets of water were my everyday view during the wet season as the puddles started to be everywhere.

I'm planning to go to the National Bookstore to buy some materials that I will be using for my Instructional Material. It wasn't necessary to get some money from him. Although, he always insists to give me some money for my study, I would always opt to be on my own rather than depending on them.

My eyes wandered the vicinity outside the window. One month has passed since the last time I talked to Bellamy. That one month was perfectly excruciating and hard since he was determined to get close to me. It was odd.

Lately, I always caught Lilith looking at me, a scowl was drawn to her face. I know that she was like that, she is always like that but it seems like her hate towards me escalated. I didn't know if there is something to do with Bellamy. One thing that I had learned about them is, Bellamy and Lilith are in some sort of arrangement. The scene I had seen in the Library is enough to justify my perception towards them.

A soft walloped against my door pulled me out of trance. I sucked an air to breathe and pulled myself up to walk toward the door to open it.

She asked, smiling.

"Mamaya pa po,"

She nodded, "Luto na ang tanghalian natin. Kumain ka na muna bago ka lumabas."

Tumango ako sa kaniya. She spun around and ambled toward the dining area. My relationship with my mother did not tightened, nor did worsen after the event of my Father. Balik pa rin sa dati, kaunting imikan. She's always trying to make it up to me; she's always making her way to bond with me but I didn't know what's holding me back to work with her.

I shook my head, "Hindi na po kailangan. I can do it myself.

"Okay," she huffed, "Sa National Bookstore lang ba iyong tungo mo?"

I nodded languidly and did not utter any word. The deafening silence rose between us, only the clinking sound of the eating utensils trying to slice the silence.

After we ate, my Mother insisted to wash the dishes. While she was busy with it, I went to the bathroom and prepared to go out. When I was done, I stared myself at my reflection on the mirror. I was wearing a white printed tee and a faded shorts with a pair of flipflops. Before emerging out of my room, I grabbed the piece of paper where I did write all the things I needed to buy.
