There was so much darkness.

It smothered her, drowned her, and silenced her. She couldn't fight at all for a long time. She was just suspended in a pool of water, floating in the darkness for eons. She was so exhausted and weak.

Yet, time heals all wounds. She found herself slowly gathering the ability to move, and then to reach out and claw at the darkness. It didn't work for a long time. She was suspended in the darkness.

Slowly the darkness began to fade, it took so very long, but piece of light began to break through. She found herself watching another's life, unable to move or act. It wasn't constant, some days there was only darkness, but others she saw it as if she were living her life.

Ariel watched herself work through bright hallways. She was talking things an angel at a table. She sat in a cubicle. The monotony of it all made Ariel close her eyes and drift off. Then she was staring at Dalia. The disciple of fate looked exactly the same as she always had. Ariel watched keenly as she spoke, before realising that Dalia was talking to her.

That was when she began to thrash and shake. She wanted to escape the binds of this mind, but she underestimates the strength of her host.

It was an odd situation that she found herself in. She was still Ariel, she was still there and alive. Yet, she wasn't. The angel she found herself in had built up a life and a personality while Ariel was recovering in the dark. This angel had become a person. Yet, Ariel was still there. She was just in the background, without control or a voice.

There were moments when Ariel could force her will, get the angel to remember parts of her life. It wasn't always successful, but there were times Ariel knew she'd gotten through.

The only issues were Ariel wasn't sure she was stronger than this angel.

She shoved and screamed. She clawed and kicked. She did everything possible to free herself from the corner of her mind, locked away and silenced. Yet, she barely ever got through. The angel was keeping her blocked.

And then, the angel went and got herself stabbed.

Ariel felt the wound as if it had ripped through her chest. It jolted her almost awake, and she clutched at a body that wasn't there. She looked out and saw the world as her host did. She was staring at the sky.

Then Dalia was there again. She was beside the host, eyes locked on Ariel's and then she said her name,

"Ariel, it's time for you to remember who you are. You no longer have a choice; it is now or never."

Ariel stared out andrealised she was right. It must have been because of the hosts weakness indeath, but Ariel finally pushed herself through and ripped her soul once againfrom a body.
