Aurora:

It's pitch black. The darkness of the night slowly creeps up on us. It felt wrong to break the silence.

Beads of sweat accumulate on the surface of my forehead because of the thick humid air.

I despise humid weather.

There's a faint echo of Aiden's footsteps and some crickets.

"You got heavier." He suddenly says faking panting nosies.

I can imagine Daniel high fiving him.

I smile at his attempt to anger me into a conversation.

Too bad he can't see my smile.

"You really know how to make a girl feel better. Plus, I never asked you to pick me up."

"I couldn't leave you alone." he softy chuckles.

"And why is that?"

"Daniel would've killed me." He says as a matter of fact.

Daniel would probably start laughing if he saw me here. Like he presumed I did mange to get into some mess. By mess I mean get lost in some random field.

I have to ask since when does he care about Daniel?

Why are these two invested in each other? Perhaps I am the one third wheeling in this equation.

He called me a burden.

I don't know why the last part kind of hurt. I am merely a responsibility to him.

I don't want to be a burden. The thought of being burden really hurts.

Snap out of it. You didn't ask to be.

Aiden is still carrying me like a protective mother?

No why my mother!

Lover?

What no!!

Father?

What's happening?

He's being my little bitch. That's it. I let out a sinister laugh.

What am I doing?

Honestly hun go to a therapist.

Shut up inner self.

"Honestly I don't even want to know what is going on in your mind?" Aiden says in a accusing tone.

"Yeah you really don't."

"I mean then again nothing is ever normal with you."
