Tord's mind is hanging by a thread to the point where he could barely write properly with a pen. His mental state was reflected from the regression of the letters, from writting clean and crisp calligraphic entries to the equivalent of chicken scratch. Letters and numbers were becoming indistinguishable, he was writing his own expressions at this point.

The light bulb above him flickered before finally giving up. Tord detached his robot arm and snapped it like a glow stick, the components lit up and gave Tord enough illumination to continue writing in.

He closed his journal and walked to the secluded part of his lab, he entered his pass code and watched as the metallic door sunk into the ground. Inside was a tank filled with crystallised honey and formaldehyde; the body of his lover was frozen in there, silently waiting...

Tord pressed his forehead against the glass, muttering a slew of words promising change. He pressed his lips against the glass before sliding to the ground due to exhaustion.

In a different time, Tord just has entered their house on top of a hill, where his biological son greets him happily by hugging his legs. Tord picks him up and carries him on his shoulders, the two of them make their way to the veranda where his lover is sitting on a mat while reading a book.

"Pa! Look how high I am!"

A low chuckle escapes through the lips of his lover, Tord's heart starts beating quicker in joy—his kid slides off his shoulders and proceeds to hug this figure, Tord chases behind him but they just become more distant, his legs weren't moving and they were slipping from his vision.

Tord woke up on the ground, there was no movement from the body inside the tank. At this very moment, you could hear Tord's heart break even more.
