Second chances are given to those who work for them
Hailee was at home, Jaehyeon still at work. She had her glasses on, happy that she was able to see better now.
She was flipping through a magazine, she had some photos in there. Hailee has wanted to look at them a critic them to see what she could do better. Of course she got side tracked and was now looking at other people's photos.
That was until she felt a tingling on her arm.
'I'm ready I think.'
Hailee sighed, slightly irritated.
'Good for you,' she wrote, 'I've moved on and I actually have a boyfriend now, sorry.'
She capped the marker and went back to looking at the magazine, the tv playing in the background.
'Can we still get to know each other as friends???'
Hailee looked at the writing, the words sloppy and very scattered.
"Hal I'm home," Jaehyeon said as he kicked his shoes off.
She quickly pulled down her sleeve and set down the magazine, Jaehyeon walking over and planting a kiss on her forehead.
"What are we thinking for dinner," he said as he wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on hers.
"Bricks," Hailee said, "and for you the chicken is cooking, I think."
Jaehyeon laughed.
"Why bricks," he said as he came around from behind the couch to sit next to her.
"I think I need to lose weight," she said, "my tummy looks kinda big in this."
Jaehyeon scowled at the photo.
"See I see an astounding goddess who looks so sun kissed and beautiful," he said as he glanced at the photo.
"Oh and look yeah there's a tummy, because all healthy humans have them you idiot."
He flicked her forehead.
"You're not going to try to lose weight Hailee, god help me imma make you gain weight. Don't change okay?"
Hailee smiled before throwing her arms over Jaehyeon, her head buried in his chest.
"Hal what's that," he said glancing at her arm, black ink spreading across it.
Hailee's eyes widened as she pulled away, but Jaehyeon grabbed her sleeve and yanked in back before she could react.
'Look I'm really sorry please, I wasn't ready or in my right mind.'
"Is this him," Jaehyeon said scowling at her arm.
"Yeah," she said, "he wants another chance."
Jaehyeon looked at Hailee.
"We're you thinking about giving it to him?"
"Yeah-"
"Don't," he interrupted standing up, "he'll hurt you again, don't even go as friends. You have me and your other friends. He's useless at this point."
Hailee glanced at her arm and sighed.
Jaehyeon had always been pretty touchy about the soulmate topic.
"Also this chicken's not looking like a chicken anymore," he laughed glancing back at Hailee.
"It's completely burnt."
Hailee gasped and jumped up to get the chicken.
"Just sir Hal," he said, "I got it. We all know you can't cook for shit."
Hailee slapped his shoulder lightly before sitting back down.
'Fine, but only one more chance and you have to prove you're not a complete jerk.'
Hailee waited for a reply, and it came pretty quickly.
'Thank you so much you won't regret it!!'
Oop- I lowkey love Jaehyeon so much
