Hailee shook her head as she watched the chaos erupt. She had been there for about thirty minutes and had been introduced to everyone yet she still was so embarrassed for some reason.
Maybe it was because she said "no I'm Hailee" when Johnny asked her if she was American.
Mark on the other hand seemed to be happier now that she was able to meet what he could closely consider to be his family. He felt like she was meeting a big part of his family.
Sure she was a nervous mess and anyone could tell that, but he was proud. He was proud to be able to bring her into Sm and say that she was his soulmate. He wanted to show her off.
Taeyong and Doyoung nagged him saying he shouldn't have done what he did those three years ago, but they also said that he was lucky she stuck around. Mark of course didn't really want to mention that neither of them really wanted to be together originally.
Of course they weren't together officially, but Mark in his head liked to believe that. He just couldn't come up with the time to ask. After all she was a busy model and he was an idol. And shits like dispatch existed.
And then there was also her manager and his managers. Well, his managers didn't seem to care as Taeyong and his soulmate existed but that was another situation.
"So why'd you stick around for him," Haechan said as he nudged Hailee's shoulder.
"Uhm," Hailee hesitated.
She did feel comfortable with Haechan more than anything. He was one of the first ones to come up to her to talk after all.
"Convenience."
Haechan burst out in laughing as Johnny snickered next to her, Mark glancing back at them smiling.
He was happy.
And yes they both were still stressed, but currently, it was as if all burdens had been lifted.
Hailee glanced up at net Mark's eyes, his smile faltering as he realized he'd been caught staring.
She smiled as his ears turned bright red. Mark looked away and back to Yuta and Jungwoo. Hailee on the other hand kept on watching him.
She'd be fine. They'd be fine.
She decided this.
Hailee was confident for once.
