Mistakes lead to Destinies
"What's your favorite color?"
Hailee glanced down at her ankle, her soulmate finding a new place to write without it being so obvious.
"Green."
"Nice," he wrote back.
Conversations were very short, neither really trying to get too personal as it was still very awkward.
"What do you do as a job," Hailee wrote.
His response took quite a bit of time this time.
"I just graduated with a major in music."
"That's cool!"
Hailee just stared at her arm.
"You?"
She grimaced as she glanced at Hayun who was busy scribbling smiley faces on her arm.
"Pss Hayun," she hissed, "he just asked what I did for a living?!"
"Ok what so wrong with that?"
"I don't want him knowing who I am!"
Hayun's face molded to one of pure confusion.
"Babe," she said, "mind me asking why?"
"Because... Well because I'm famous and uh... I barely know him and he's already rejected me!"
Hayun rolled her eyes.
"Just say you're a photographer."
"Great idea!!"
"I'm a photographer."
"Oh that's really cool what do you take pictures of?"
Hayun cursed under her breath.
"Models, ya know dresses and makeup that stuff."
"Oh that's cool, so you work under a business?"
Hailee slammed her pen down on the table.
"I'm actually fucked," she said pushing her glasses to the top of her head.
Hayun glanced at her leg which was covered in his and her scribbles.
"Damn right," she whispered, "just say SM, it's big and very vague."
Hailee nodded.
"SM."
"Holy fuck really?"
"Uhm Yeah??? Why???"
"No reason it's just that it's a big company like... big ya know?"
"( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)," Hailee was already done with all these questions.
What she could depict from these little 'chats' was that he really didn't have a filter, and he was very enthusiastic, over enthusiastic at times. Very different from her first conversations with him.
"So what's my next photo shoot," Hailee asked looked at Hayun who was busy now texting her soulmate instead of writing all over the two of them.
"Friday at... 3:45pm," she said, eyes still glued to her phone.
"It's a little different from the last ones."
Hailee nodded as she grabbed a wipe and wiped off the words that laid on her arm.
"Great," she said before grabbing a book out of her bag and tossing it at Hayun, the book nearly hitting the older girl.
"That's for Jinri," she said, "she's a book nerd right?"
Hayun picked up the book and glanced at the cover in confusion.
"Yeah," she said as she glanced at the cover.
"I've never heard of this though," she said looking over the cover.
"Enigma?"
"Yeah good book," Hailee nodded, "kinda has a lot of different categories in it like fantasy, romance, mystery, ya know the lot."
Hayun nodded and shoved it in her bag.
"I'm taking this as you're leaving me?"
Hailee smiled and nodded.
"Jaehyeon plans on trying to make Macaroons," she said, "can't miss that entertainment."
Hayun giggled.
"Yeah well Jinri's probably crying over a stack of papers," she said, "so I'll have to take care of that mess."
Hailee chuckled and nodded in agreement.
"Always."
"See you Friday?"
"Yup."
Hailee grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder, heading out the door and back to her apartment to where Jaehyeon was burning the complete shit out of French cookies.
