Hailee pulled up her mask and exited her apartment, her coat bundled around her body as she walked. She had gloves on and a beanie, her hair pulled back in a low ponytail. Her feet carried her to a small apartment complex.

Only a couple lights were on in the windows as she made her way to the back of the complex. Calmly, she pulled out a sharpie and drew on her arm.

'here'

She capped the marker and put it in her pocket. The back door opened to the inside of the complex and a figure with a beanie and a hood stepped out.

"Hey Hal," Mark said as he held the door open for her.

"Come inside, it'd be better if someone doesn't see you."

Hailee smiled as she walked in, dusting the snow off her shoes on the entry mat as Mark closed the door and then walked in front of her. Leading the way, she followed him up to the tenth floor until he pulled out the key card to his specific dorm.

"Sorry if it's a bit messy," he started as he opened the door, "but this is really one of the most private places I can think of besides SM, and well... SM is... SM."

Hailee humed in agreement as she kicked off her shoes and slid her feet in the slippers Mark had placed out for her.

"If you want to wash off the 'here' on your arm you can," he said, "the bathrooms over there, the kitchen sink is...uh kinda full."

Hailee glanced over to the kitchen, cups, wine glasses, plates, and who else knew what was on that counter filled the entire space. The sink was completely full with dirty dishes and random cereal boxes sat on the island.

"That's an understatement," she muttered, "damn bitch you live like this?"

Mark gave an embarrassed chuckle before she decided to go wash her arm for the sake of his pride.

The bathroom wasn't much better. Toothbrushes laid on the small sink along with an uncapped toothpaste container. And for whatever reason, a half empty wine glass sat on the bathtub ledge.

Ignoring the mess, Hailee pulled up her sleeve and washed the ink off.

Looking in the mirror she sighed. A lot had happened in the past months, and yet it also seemed as if nothing had ever happened. She was pretty sure being tired had became one of her main personality traits along with stress. Along with that issue, she was also pretty absorbed with the whole soulmate situation.

Which was why she had met up with Mark to talk.

Walking out of the bathroom, she saw Jaehyun and Jungwoo sitting on the couch. Glancing at them she brought it in her self to ask where Mark had went.

"I think he's in his room, or maybe he left to have a mental breakdown," Jungwoo said nonchalantly.

"Great," she hesitantly said, Jaehyun stifling a laugh.

"His room's down the hall to the left," Jaehyun said, "right across from Taeil's and Yuta's, the one that looks like shit and probably smells like it."

"Guys seriously," Mark complained from behind Hailee, "just one day, one day without a-"

"Sorry Mark," Jungwoo laughed as he sighed and glanced at Hailee.

"C'mon," he said motioning for her to follow him.

He led the way to his room, his door left slightly ajar as he pulled his chair out from the desk and walked to the window seal. Hailee sat down in the chair as he sighed and looked down.

"So what to start with," she smiled, Mark looking up at her as she awkwardly fiddled with her hands.

"Uhm probably what we should do," he said, "speaking logically ya know."

Hailee nodded, yet she stayed silent. The whole situation was a bit troubling.

"Can I just say something first," Mark said, waiting for Hailee's answer.

"Yeah."

He sighed and looked back down at his feet, softly kicking aside a burgundy tshirt under his bed.

"I'm sorry," he said finally looking up. "I'm sorry for pushing you away, I was scared and worried. I was stressed and I still am, but I was less mature and a bit more idiotic. This situation is partly my fault and I'll take responsibility for it.

But I need to make sure that you understand this first. I am willing to make up for my mistakes as long as you are willing to let me. I want to have a future with you as a soulmate, but as a future friend or more. Just- just tell me what to do?"

Hailee stared at him blankly, her eyes wide with shock.

"Mark..."
