Savannah & Logan sit at their table at the restaurant they agreed on with her father a 2 weeks ago. As Logan reads the menu, Savannah glances at the door as she anxiously checks the time over and over again. Logan peers over the menu, eyebrow raised "He'll be here." He says calmly, but Savannah doesn't seem to hear him.
Another 20 minutes pass and there's still no sign of her father. "I'll... be right back" Savannah says and hurries in the direction of the restrooms, Logan sits back in his seat and sighs. He pulls out his phone and fiddles around playing a game whilst he waits but gets bored of it pretty quickly so sighs and locks his phone again, shoving it away in his pocket and resting his face in his hands with a frustrated sigh.
"Where's Savannah?" A familiar voice says, he jolts up suddenly nervous and fiddles with his shirt sleeves adjusting them "oh uh. Mr.Choi! We were worried you'd bailed on us. Uhh, Savannah just went to the bathroom. She'll be back shortly" he stutters out as he holds out his hand. Mr.Choi just laughs and slaps his hand away. "No no no no no. You're part of the family now. We hug" he speaks gently and embraces Logan warmly. "D-dad!?" A small voice sounds from behind, Mr.Choi spins round and his breath catches in his throat "Oh Savannah!" He whispers as his eyes well up with tears "you look just like your mother when she was your age." He says with a sniffle. The two embrace and exchange muffled words before taking their seats. Finally, they order their food and wait for it to come out.
Soon they're eating their main course when Logan turns to Savannah with a raised eyebrow "Savannah hon? Would you mind getting us more drinks? Please?" He says with a charming smile. "Of course" she says pecking his lips then heading towards the bar. Logan turns to Mr.Choi "Sir. I need to ask you something..." he starts speaking and swallows nervously

Savannah walks up to the bar and takes a seat, waiting for the bartender to come over. Scrolling absent mindedly on her phone, she doesn't see the older gentleman approaching her until she feels a tap on her shoulder. She looks up and comes fave to face with the man. "Hello gorgeous" he smiles at her creepily, hand lingering on her forearm "could you please remove your hand sir?" She asks politely. But the man doesn't budge. Instead he tightens his grip "Come with me." He demands in a low tone so only she can hear. In a panic she blurts out "Detective Choi!" And scans for her father.
From hearing her screams both Logan and her father jump up defensively "Savannah!!?" The shout out in unison. Scanning the restaurant they see her being pulled toward a back exit "SAVANNAH NO!" Logan shouts with pure terror in his voice and takes off leaping over tables and food carts, dodging his way round the waitstaff. As he jumps from table to table, Mr.Choi watches in awe with the rest of the restaurant as he avoids ruining meals and spilling drinks. Once he reaches the door and pulls his arm back, balling his hand into a fist "HEY YOU OLD CREEP! HANDS OFF MY GIRLFRIEND!" He shouts and as the man turns to face him, he punches forward connecting his fist to the mans jaw. The man yelps in pain and loosens his grip on Savannah. Logan catches her as she stumbles and they're joined by Mr.Choi who restrains the man until back up arrives.
Logan looks into Savannah's eyes which are filled with terror and tears, then he wordlessly and gently pulls her to his chest and presses a kiss on the top of her head "You're safe babe. You're okay. I got you" he whispers as she leans into his warm embrace. Later that night, after they finished their meal, Savannah's dad drove them back to campus. "Now stay safe" Mr.Choi said seriously, taking Savannah's hands in his. She nodded and hugged him tight "I love you dad." She said, he hugged back and kissed her cheek before turning to Logan, who swallowed with an audible gulp. "Now you my son.... you're a good man. Tonight you proved that, it's clear that you truly love my daughter and aren't playing games. Thank you for not proving my wrong and showing me I made the right decision with you" Mr.Choi spoke respectfully as he held his hand out to Logan. The two shook hands and shared a smile "Welcome to the family son. Officially this time." Mr.Choi carried on in his usual soft but stern tone. In that moment Savannah couldn't have been happier. Her two messy worlds had come together to make one perfect world, one that she knew she'd love forevermore as she looked into Logan's eyes that were full of prideful tears as he stared back at her father "Thank you, sir" he said quietly and respectfully bowed his head.
That night in their dorm after showering and getting into bed, Logan and Savannah cuddled facing each other. Logan carefully watching Savannah as she traced the lines of his brand new tattoo. "Savannah?" He spoke in a quiet deep tone, "hm?" She replied, moving her gaze to meet his. "Seen as things were crazy back in L.A. and we never really got time to just be together like this. yanno? just be... normal. I um... I want to give you this." He said and sat up, removing his necklace and puts it round her neck, fasting it then lying back down at her side, "I love you Savannah Choi. I love you with all my heart. More than you'll ever know, but, I'm never leaving you again" he said as he choked back a sob. "I love you too." She whispered back, pressing a short, sweet kiss to his lips. That night they both fell asleep happy, but most of all... Logan was happy he had finally found his true normal.
