Bonding - Gaius x Amy {MC} (Part Two)

After chasing each other around for a while, they sat back on the couch and both took a drink of water. "Okay!" Gaius said clapping and rubbing his hands together, "Time for you to change" he smiled, handing her the bags. She's took them and stumbled a bit, "oof. These are a bit weighty" she commented as she regained her balance before turning and walking away to change. As she walked down the hallway she heard a scrambling up a wall she knew all to well. "Uuhhhh Gaius! Come he- AHHHHHHH!" She shrieked throwing her bags to the side and jumping into the wall beside her as a feral pounced at her from beyond the darkness. It turned and looked at her "SSSSKKKKKKKK" it hissed as it turned around and advanced on Amy pinning and trapping her against the wall. She started sobbing and pleading  for it to let her go, even though she knew it wouldn't work. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" Gaius bellowed as he stood in the hallway, fangs bared and weapon drawn. Both Amy and the feral froze for a moment before it whirled round and advanced on Gaius. "SSSSSSKKKKKK!" it hissed. Gaius readied his weapon and decapitated it before it could cause any harm. Speechless and laying on the floor Amy let a few tears slip down her cheeks, "Oh God" she said breathily as she trembled. Dropping his sword Gaius moved to Amy and held out his hand "Are you okay?" He asks brow creased with concern. Amy nods. "Thank you" she said before looking around and gathering her bags and heading to change.

A few moments later Amy found Gaius again walking towards him with a corset. "You could have warned me you got one of these things" she said a little annoyed "sorry... let me help" he replied as he turned around and helped her with it. She wandered off and finished getting dressed then come back wearing a period dress and a bonnet to match. Gaius looked up at sensing her presence and smile as she twirls around to show every angle. "You look stunning. The colour really brings out your eyes and your complexion" he compliments happily. She smiles and thanks him and sits down. "I uhhh... ordered us some Chinese noodles" He continued and Amy nodded as she started to lose herself in her book. "There's um, some good news I've been sitting on for a while. I didn't want to tell you whilst you were still upset..." Gaius spoke, trying to get her to converse with him. Amy looked up from her book "what is it?" She asks curiously. "Rheya's dead and the order has been restored in the city. Kamilah made it a personal mission to take her down after everyone and everything she stole from us. I promised to look out for you and make sure you're alright" he explains. Amy sits in shock for a moment. A moment turns into two, and soon almost an hour. "So it's over? Her reign of terror is finally over?" Amy whispered and Gaius nodded in reply. "It's nighttime so after we've eaten we can move out of this warehouse if you'd li-" he answers but gets cut off. "Yes! I need to start getting some normalcy back into my life. I think that's the first step to a better me" Amy exclaimed, as she rushed around gathering her things. Lastly she picked up Adrian's jacket, hugged it for a minute then draped it round her shoulders. "I'm ready" she announced.

After their noodles had been delivered and they had eaten, Gaius helped Amy carry her things to a van he had parked behind the warehouse. They loaded up the van and he took her back to her old apartment complex. She was wary and unsure, but headed inside with Gaius. He opened her door but told her to wait in the hallway whilst he took her things inside. She waited until she heard him call for her to come inside. As she walked in a light flicked on and she gasped as she looked around her. "Who? When? Wha-" she asked as she looked around speechless. It was decorated exactly how she had envisioned it would be if she had moved in with Adrian. There were goofy pictures of them on the dresser top in the front room, a nicer one on the coffee table. The wallpaper they looked at. Adrian's sofa from his penthouse. She stood speechless with tears stinging her eyes. "Are you okay?" Gaius asked concerned. She nodded "it's beautiful" she whispered through the tears. Gaius smiled a genuine smile and moved across the room and gave her a hug. "Kamilah got you a present. It's on your bed" he said gesturing towards her bedroom and she walked in. Gaius stood in the living room to give her space and waited listening to the sound of paper being ripped. There was a moment of silence, then the apartment was filled with loud, ugly cries. Alarmed Gaius ran to the bredroom and found Amy sitting in the edge of the bed crying hugging a bear that was talking with Adrian's voice. "... You're my everything. I love you" the bear finished talking "I lo- loOove you t-t-too" Amy sobbed loudly as she hugged the bear tightly. In the door way Gaius' eyes glazed over and his heart felt heavy. Seeing that Amy hadn't even noticed him he shit the door quietly and trudged to the living area and sat on the couch.

He sat and thought about his life. How thankful he was for his second chance. And he knew then he didn't need another live for things to be different. He just needed to wipe slates clean and bond with those who were willing to bond with him and he could have the happiness and support he's always wanted. But above all there was one person he was thankful for getting the chance to know. Amy Suzano. The most brave, amazing, kind, powerful and inspiring woman he had ever met. And he knew bonding with her was a step in the right direction to a bright future.
