A/N: I apologize if this is trash, but I just need to write something that's different from the ending we got for Distant Shores. I'm writing this a few hours after and I'm still annoyed for the clearly rushed ending, feeling as though they most likely didn't want to deal with this book anymore. The solution to that would have been to release it later in the year and then it could have been focused on more and maybe we would have gotten more answers, than questions from the books ending. I know there's the whole, leave some of the story to the readers imagination rule when it comes to writing fiction and stuff like that, but they have seriously left TOO MANY things unanswered. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this fiction and I hope it brings you some kind of happiness. Instead of despair. I will be taking the time to replay the book 2 more times to help me figure out scenarios for Edward & Charlie.

For the purposes of this fiction, I will be using the default name of Peyton Bellamy. But whenever the name if mentioned feel free to use your character's name in its place 😊. Also, if you have a male MC and wish to read this and edit in in your mind to fit your own MC that is totally fine.Credits to Pixelberry and the team that wrote Distant Shores as I am using some of the parts of the last chapters plot to base this writing off of something.

Before you start, allow me to set the scene for you. You, Oliver, Charlie and Edward have just battled your way through the temple. You've all ran through your respective tunnels and skidded to a halt, almost falling into a chasm in the center of the temple. You're looking around for signs of the admiral or Robert, but there are none. When suddenly....lo9

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

You, Oliver, Charlie and Edward all whip your heads to the direction of thunderous laughter echoing across the temple. There in front of a glowing portal stands Admiral Cochrane brandishing a gleaming object in his hand. You try to get a closer look and cover your mouth, ducking behind a pillar as you gasp out loud. "Who's there?!" shouts The Admiral. Oliver looks at you from his hiding spot, you shake your head silently, but he has a look of determination in his eyes. Your eyes widen in horror as he rises to his feet. "It's just me dear father. I came looking for you." He said with trained professionalism, his every feature remaining calm. "I see. You've finally seen that your little stunt with pirates isn't going to bring you the power you really want?" he asks as he looks over the exterior of the object he's holding. "Aye father. I've come to apologize and make amends. That is, if you'll allow me." Oliver says, staring at his father the whole time. The Admiral considers his words for a while, as you look over towards Edward and Charlie, hurt present in both their eyes. "Are you okay?" Edward mouths to you and you nod in response, but you can only imagine the feeling in your chest is the same as what they're feeling themselves. Suddenly, The Admiral speaks up again, "Lieutenant." He states, "Yes, Admiral." Oliver answers, standing straighter and to attention. "I'll accept you back as family and give you a second chance." He said but paused, leaving a massive but, hanging in the air. "Thank you Admi-" Oliver started saying but was cut off by his father holding up a finger and continuing to speak. "But first you must prove your worth. By killing her, with this." he said, Oliver swallowing loudly, eyeing the object he was being held out to accept. "Wh-What is that?" he asked nervous at the sight of the weapon. "An AK-47." The Admiral commented, too coolly for your liking and it sent shivers down your spine. "I'm not stupid Oliver. I know she's here" he continued. "Who's here?" Oliver asked, curiosity on his face. Himself and his father getting into an intense back and forth, whilst they did, Edward moved positions stealthily, so he was now directly behind the admiral, pointing his pistol directly at his heart from behind. Through discreet communication, Oliver started taking steps back as his father advanced on him. Each second his own voice getting weaker as his father's got harsher in commands. Suddenly, BANG!, Oliver jumped behind a wall as Edward pulled the trigger on his pistol, sending a bullet flying into the admiral and he collapsed to the floor, immediately bleeding out. Now knowing he himself couldn't cause any serious damage, you came out of your hiding spot along with Charlie and stood over him as Oliver stood up collecting himself. "You!" the admiral boomed, "You infiltrated my boy! Corrupted him with your witchcraft!" He shouted, you knelt down beside him, leaning close to his ear. "No, Admiral sir. YOU drove him away with your harsh ways. The world and whole of history is just lucky he wasn't blinded by your corruption, because you were his father." You hissed as you stood to move away so you could allow Oliver to kneel beside him for a few moments, thinking he was almost dead, but he grabbed your ankle, pulling you off your feet as he stood back up and aimed the gun at you. Panic arised in everyone in the room.
