"NO, OlIverrrrr!" you shouted at your best friend pretending to be killed by a dragon, laying on the floor of the backyard as he shallowed his breath. You ran over beginning to shake him. "Oliver wake up! You're stronger than any dragon. You can get up! Please.." you pleaded, and you knelt over him pretending to cry. "Dinner's ready kids!" Amitola's mother shouted from the back door, the two of you leaping to your feet and running inside, "Wash your hands before sitting at the table please." your mum said. "Yes, Mrs. Bellamy." Oliver said politely as he rolled up his sleeves as you waited patiently behind him. You and Oliver washed and dried your hands then took your places at the table, holding hands to say a prayer with your family before digging into the meal. Later, Oliver's dad turned up at your house to collect Oliver and take him home. "Oliver wait! Your bracelet!!" you exclaimed as you ran over to him with it. "Thanks Ami" Oliver smiled and gave you a warm hug before slipping the bracelet onto his wrist, taking his father's hand and leaving with a wave and smile. That night as your mum tucked you into bed, you creased your brow and asked a question, "Mummy? Why doesn't Oliver's daddy like me?" she asked curiosity in her eyes. Her mum sighed and kissed her forehead, "You're being silly love." She said as she brushed some hair back out of your face. "I'm not. He scowls at me all the time. And he done it extra bad today when I gave Oliver his bracelet and a hug before he left." You said, looking at your mum sadly. "I'll talk to him next time he drops by and let him know how it makes you feel okay?" She half-smiled. You nodded, snuggling down in your bed and going to sleep.

--- 14 Years Later ---

You was sitting at home studying and working on your stitch work when there was a knock at the door, your dad answered it "Ahhh. Hello son" he greeted the person warmly. Soon Oliver's now tall form was filling the doorframe. "You always have liked crafting." He commented as he cleared his throat, something sad and bothersome about his tone. You looked up at him with a smile, "Olly. Hey, take a seat. I'm finishing up something for you" You said softly, his breath subtly catching in his throat as he sat across from you. "What is it?" he asked, you smiled at him as you picked your needle back up. "Well. My secret project I've working on for a while and wouldn't show you is almost complete. Let me finish sowing on this patch and I'll show you" You beamed at him and he sat across from you watching your every move. "You're especially beautiful when you're concentrating Ami-Rose" he mumbled, causing you to blush. You finished up and securely tied off the thread and admired your work. "Can I see now? Oliver asked with a smile that didn't quiet reach his eyes. Nodding, you lifted the garment up off the table as you stood. "I made you a blanket" you said as you grinned with pride, Oliver stretched out his hands towards the fabric and stroked it gently, tears forming in his eyes. "Ami I... I don't know what to say.. I-" He stuttered as you placed the blanket in his outstretched arms. You looked at him concerned as you handed him a couple tissues. In all your years of gifting him things, he had never reacted like this. "Olly?" you said with a questioning tone, taking a seat next to him. He reluctantly looked up to meet your gaze. "I.... I'm leaving." He stated. Emotions suddenly rushed to your chest and mind too. Your only best friend was leaving? He knew you had nobody else why would he suddenly just leave like this? No.. this couldn't be his decision.. This had to be his father's doing. He had never liked you hanging out with his son and inflicting your "feminine ways" onto him. You felt tears sting your eyes too as you looked back at Oliver. "But why? Where are you going?" You asked, confusion taking over everything. Oliver reached out tenderly and held your hands. "I'm going to be living on the sea. With my father. I... I'm his lieutenant now and duty calls to my position." He said, voice thick with emotion. You couldn't find any words so you just hugged him tightly knowing you wouldn't see him again for a very long time. He returned the hug, just as tight, if not even tighter, tears rolling down both of your cheeks as you said goodbye to each other. "I'm going to miss you Olly" you whimpered out through the last of your tears. "I'm going to miss you too Ami-Rose. Don't forget me though" He chuckled through his tears, you pulled back and looked into his eyes. "As if I could ever forget you" you joked. The mood turned serious for a moment as Oliver briefly kissed your lips. You didn't know if it was the sorrow of knowing your best friend of 14 years was leaving or if you actually had feeling for each other but you found yourself returning his kiss, smiling sadly as he pulled and opened his eyes to look at you. He scanned your face as if he was taking in every detail, so he wouldn't forget you. "Ami I... I have to go now but please. Please don't forget me. I'll be back to see you soon. Maybe you could make something for me for when Ii come back. And know that I, will never forget you. Okay?" he spoke tenderly as he took your hand in his and connected the bracelets on your wrists one last time before he left. "Oliver!" You shouted chasing him out onto the street with his blanket, but he was already gone. Blended into the bustling crowd, feeling defeated you went back inside, encountering your mother who took one look at your face and swollen eyes, also noting the blanket in your left hand and instantly giving you a hug. "Oh my sweet. He'll be back soon, and I'll give him hell for not remembering this, so he'll take it then." She said softly as she tried to comfort you but it was no use. "Mum.. I'd... I'd um, just really like to go to my room right now. I uh" she cut you off with a kiss on the cheek. "Go on dear. Take all the time you need" she said as she turned round, heading back to the kitchen. You entered your room and blocked the door off with chairs and dressers before falling into your bed, hugging the blanket you'd made for your best friend, thinking of the kiss you had just shared together and his haunting words of "I'm leaving"
