Jennie

The blasting sound of my alarm had woke me up from my pleasant sleep. I must say last night was one of the best sleeps I ever had in my life. Putting off the alarm, I check my phone and saw a message from Jisoo.

Morning Mandu! I'll pick you up around 7. It says.

I checked the clock and it was already six am. I have one hour to spare. I did my morning routine as swiftly as possible. For today I was dressed with a violet sweater and tight pants. I prepared an avocado toast for my breakfast and packed one for Jisoo as well knowing she does not usually eat one in the morning for as she explained that she was lazy to prepare one for herself.

It was then when I heard my phone ringing, it showed Jisoo's ID. Without waiting for the latter to say anything, I just blurted out 'Coming' and then hanged up.

Jisoo simply looked at me as soon as she settled in the car and said, "You know you should let the person somehow say something to you first before leaving an answer and hanging up, right?" But I shrugged and replied, "I saw it was your ID that flashed besides I trust you that you won't lose your phone or by any means get kidnap. You are a black belter after all." Jisoo just rolled her eyes at me. "Oh here is your breakfast by the way. Since I know that you never take one at home." Jisoo pouted at her friends thoughtfulness while Jennie just lightly slapped her arm for acting cute.

"By the way Chu, I was meaning to ask you this yesterday but forgot to do so."

"Hmm... What is it about?"

"Rosie's bestfriend, Lisa." Jisoo tend threw a glance at me surprised at my sudden interest on Manoban. "Yeah. What about her?" She asked. "Do you knkw her that much? I mean. I was just assuming that you do since she is Rosie's bestfriend."

I saw that she bit her lip signifying that she was thinking. "Honestly, not that much. When Rosie brings her along she would tend to be distant like having her own world. She does not mingle much with people which gives off a mysterious vibe. But she is a great listener especially when I have problem. She just listens well and does not speak up unless you want her to. When I first tried to vent out my problems at her, I asked her why she was not commenting and she simply answered that I did not ask her to do that but if I wanted to she would."

It was somehow a small information only but it could not satisfy my curiousity about her. "If you don't mind, why do you seem so curious about her?" Jisoo inquired.

"She is just that mysterious I guess. And when I looked at her eyes on the party, it reminded me of the incident with Taehyung. It seemed like she was the one who punched him." Jisoo then shooked her at me. "That might be impossible. She did not arrive at the venue. She even sent Rosie a text message that she could not come due to an emergency."

"I gues I might have been mistaken." I said. "Thanks for the ride Chu."

She replied that it is not a big deal. We left the car and proceeded our way towards the lockers. I then heard a suprise yelp from my side. And saw that it was Jisoo who was engulfed by Rosie's embrace but what surprised me was the woman standing near to her. It was no other than Lisa Manoban my incoming step - sister. The girl just looked at me and the intensity of her eyes makes me conscious forcing me to divert my gaze somewhere else.

"Good morning Jennie!" Rosie greeted after she had embraced Jisoo enough. I greeted her back amd then she turned to her bestfriend. "I assumed you met Lisa already. You are gonna be step - sisters!" She said as she squealed. It was then when Jisoo cleared her throat. To say I was thankful to her because the atmosphere was becoming kinda awkward. "Let's go babe classes will start soon." And dragged Rosie with her while me and Lisa silently followed suit.
