3rd Person

It took almost thirty minutes for the police to reach the area as did some medic to tend for Jennie.

It was Jihyo who processed all the interview needed by the police while Lisa was left to tend to Jennie.

"She seems fine ma'am. I guess she digested a very strong sleeping pill to keep drowse her in an instant but the effect won't be that sever. Base on the symptoms of her sleepiness, it would take about 12 hours before she wakes up. Maybe around 12 noon. Just make sure she would in take a lot of liquids for her to push down the remaining effects of the pill." The medical respondent thoroughly explained.

"Thank you for your help." Lisa said thankfully. "It is our ma'am." And with that the medic took her leave.

Lisa then laid Jennie in the couch as she then went beside her mother. "Yes. He was stark naked hovering over the girl." She heard her mother explain.

"What was the suspect's relation with the woman?" The officer inquired.

"Well, all we know is that he was supposed to be the girl's biological father but after the event went it was revealed that he was only the girl's step father. As for her biological parents, all I know is that her mother died already."

"Thank you Mrs. Kim."

"Please call me Ms. Manoban." After all the events, Jihyo knew that she would not want to be affiliated to Daniel anymore. "If you need for more questions to be answered feel free to contact me." She said offering a calling card.

With that the officer nodded and thanked her before finally leaving the Villa.

"Mom." Lisa called.

Jihyo turned to her daughter. Based on her facial features, it seems unclear of what she truly felt.

"I--" Lisa started but her mom immediately cut her off.

"We should head to bed. And maybe discuss everything once Jennie is awake." She suggested to which Lisa did not protest. "Good night Lisa."

"Good night mom."

Next Day

Jennie

As the rays of the sun made my eyes squint, I slowly took in my surroundings. I felt drowsy and somehow weak that I cannot move well. I looked around and realized I was not in my room and my clothes from yesterday seems different.

"I see you are awake." Jennie turned to the person. "Lisa? What am I doing in your room? I can't quite remember anything from last night."

But Lisa ignored her question and move closer to her.

"Drink the water first then we will head down as mom is waiting then we would explain everything that had happened." To say I was nervous as why Jihyo was suddenly involve with the information I asked for.

But knowing I needed to, I did not protest anymore.

As I descended the stairs, I saw that the dining was already prepared but it was only Jihyo and Lisa there. No signs of my father.

"Good morning auntie." I greeted as I took my seat to which she only smiled softly at and nodded.

It was then when I heard the cluttering of the utensils as we proceeded to eat. But to say the silence was deafening. Thus, I decided to break the ice. "Uhmm Lisa told me that everything would be explained during breakfast. What is it that I needed to know?" I asked.

Jihyo then lowered her utensils and began explaining everything. From how she saw me naked with my father on top of me to the revelation of my relationship with Lisa and how Daniel is not my real father.

I knew from that moment I was frozen in place, lost to the extent that I do not know what to do.

I felt Lisa reach out to me and even called me but I chose to leave the table. I heard her mom say to her to give me time. And I was beyond thankful to Jihyo for being understanding.

As I went to my room, I curled up near the door. Tears flowed uncontrollably from my eyes.

It was then I realized the reason that my father thought nothing about me for all these years because the truth was he really had no obligation in the first place.

Everything I knew about myself and my family were falsely depicted.

How cruel the world is to me?

I cried myself out. Wanting to let everything out until I knew that there is no more tears left.

I decided by then that I needed to have my life back and I can only do that if I knew who I truly am.
