Chapter 24

Iris' POV

I don't know if i should be happy or sad because of the way things are turning out. Okay i know i should be happy. This is what i wanted but now Kin and Roan where annoying me to no end.
"Good morning Dad" they both said at the same time as soon as i entered the kitchen with my mate.
"Good morning boys" Rex said with a smile as the boys led him to a seat in between them before looking at him with adoration in their eyes.

Kin gave him a plate filled with breakfast while Roan gave him his coffee. Rex thanked them and told them they were the best and i knew their wolves we're wagging their tails from the praise. My two grown sons we're acting like a bunch of 10 year old pups. Honestly it was adorable but i also wanted to sit next to my mate damn it.
I puffed in frustration before sitting next to Luke before Keith served me a plate.

'Stop pouting. Though You look more adorable that way'
'I will stop pouting when I'm in your arms'
'Can't wait to hold you too'
'Then chase the kids'
'Baby you know they are just being kids. Let's not burst their bubble'
'I know. I know. But ever since they found out the truth i barely get anytime with you during the day'
'I will make it up to you. I promise. Just you and me'

Authors POV

Iris faced his mate who winked and smiled making the omega blush.
'Looking forward to it' Iris couldn't help but smile from their mindlink conversation.
Soon after breakfast Iris, Keith and Luke left to handle some business and do a few errands.

Rex turned to his two duplicates before putting on a serious face. They both stood at attention.
"Everyone should be out back in 5 minutes for training"
"Everyone?" The twins asked.
"Yes everyone. Even the omegas. You didn't think your father and uncles got so strong from just cooking and cleaning did you" Rex said before walking away "4 minutes" he yelled causing the twins to finally take action.

It was now public knowledge to the whole pack who Rex was. As soon as his memory came back he reclaimed his alpha position and the whole pack celebrated the return on their true alpha.
"Your dad is so cool" Orla said excitedly as she stood with the twins next to Aurora and Cole, "finally i get to train with the warriors"
"Don't get too excited just yet. You have never gone through his training" Seth said to his daughter with a smirk which caused her to gulp.

"Uncle Chris is bad enough already. I don't think anyone could be worse than him" Cole said.
"Chris is actually being soft on you guys compared to what you're about to go through. Remember Alpha was the one who trained Chris in the first place. Even I'm dreading this training session and you know how i always look forward to it" Seth said causing the twins and Cole to gulp.
Rex was nice and sweet. He wouldn't torture them. Right. He couldn't be worse. Right.

Rex got out with his beta, Chris, by his side. Chris took Orla, Aurora and the other omegas to be trained separately
Rex turned to the others with a hard serious face before declaring he wanted 50 pushups and when people groaned he pushed it up to 100. Training was hard and tough and they realised their alpha meant business. They had thought Chris was strict but Rex wasn't a joke. Even the twins were breathless after just an hour and they still had two more hours to go.

By the time Iris and the others returned they found the house quiet which was strange. No one was running around, playing or just watching tv in the lounge.
At that moment Rex walked down the stairs.
"Where is everyone?" Iris asked shocked to see his mate alone. He was now used to seeing the twins latched onto him.
"We had training today" he responded and it all made sense. Keith and Luke excused themselves to start on dinner.

"You are so devious" Iris couldn't help but smile at his alpha.
"I had to tire them out if i wanted to spend the rest of the day with you" Rex said with a smirk before pulling his omega by the waist against his hard body before kissing him. Iris couldn't help but bury his head in his mates neck and inhaling the alphas scent that just got his head spinning.
Suddenly Rex had Iris over his shoulder cavemen style as he carried him to their room and locked the door.

They didn't even make it for dinner that night.
