Our Incomplete Story

March 6th, Tuesday

dear diary,

i literally slept for 6 hours after my surgery. when i woke up, everyone was around me and i mean everyone. it was insane. there were balloons everywhre and flowers, my entire room was filled with colors, colors of happiness and love. i feel so grateful for all these people,who are there to care for me and love me.

everyone talks to me and then heads home, and then its just rico, damon ,  vincent and my family in my room. rico and damon had to leave soon because of their classes and then vincent asks my family to go to my aparmtnet and sleep there since theyve been awake too. he leaves to sign the papers and then my mother eyes me and i knew why.

Mom: awww baby , you really scared all of us today, but im happy youre back.

me: thanks for being here

Mom: (slaps me on my shoulder)

me: ouch! what was that for ?

Mom: for lying to me about your secret doctor boyfriend, tell me everything.

me: oh ma! theres nothing there, we are just friends, actually we became freinds a few months ago now, we study together and walk together and visit dads grave soemtimes.

mom: mhm that smile i see while you describe everything,  yeah just friends okay? i was once your age too sweety, anyways i like the hottie. the whole time you were in surgery, he wouldnt leave you,even the nuero surgeon tried to stop him from scrubbing in, but he wouldnt budge. and even after he really took care of us, he got us food and made us comfortable. nina, hes a good guy, dont be mean to him and dont be so hard to get either. i know you, be nice!

me: omggg theres nothing like that, were just friends.

mom: okay you say that, im going to your apartment, making it a little more pleasant, so hurry up and come home.

i was in theh hospital for a couple more hours and then vincent comes in, starts packing my bag and then helps me up, he tells me that they allowed me to go home. he grabs my arms and almost hugs on my sides so i could walk , since ive been on this bed for god knows how long. he drives us and on the way, he gets me my favorite ice cream and then we head home.

we were in the elavator and he tells me that he wants to take me somewhere tonight so i should be ready for that, and i ask him why not now and he says that theres something important waiting for me.

we walk in my apartment and it looks completely different, there are new decoraton pieces everywhre, its clean and looks so much more bigger than ever. my mom walks me overto the dining area and there are, literally all my favorite dishes everywhere. including desserts, we all are about to sit, everyone grab a seat, vincent sits right next to me and my mother on another side. he then grabs another empty seat and puts my dads jacket on it. my mother grabs my hand and smiles at me with a tear dropping down each of our eyes.

vincent : and thats your dads seat, complete family now.

and in this moment , without even realizing i kiss him on the cheeks and then he smiles at me , brushes my hair away from my face and my siblings from behind me ,smash my face in  whip cream, its a family tradition haha. since my birthday was tomorrow , i shouldve seen it coming. no matter what time it was, we smashed cake or pie in the other persons face.

vincent : sorry had to , but happy early birthday.

he tries to hug me, but instead i rub my cheeks against his, getting all the pie on him too. and then its war. we all were covered in whip cream within a few minutes. soon after we all clean up, we start eating lunch. this seems so normal after so long, a family dinner, with my dad here too, once everything was cleaned up, vincent says hes going home and catch up on things. my mom signals me to walk him out. so i get his jacket and walk him out. we walk in the hallway right outside my apartment.

vincent : so be ready tonight , i have to take you somewhere.

me: is it for my birthday?

vincent : maybeeeee

me: come onnnn tell me already and also how did you know about my birthday?

vincent : you know that one time you left your diary with me, i turned to the first page and found your date of birth on it so i wrote it down, dont worry i didnt flip to the second page, i just needed to know whos was it thats all.  in a couple of hours, my driver will drop a box so stay home.

me: vincent whats going on, you know i hate surpsises.

vincent : well get used to them, anyways i gots to go,dont do too much work, try to relax, maybe catch up on school and just chill for once please.

me : okay then i guess ill see you later

he presses the elavator button.

vincent : aww nina dont say it so sad, im seeing you in a few hours, until then just relax okay?

he walks in the elavator door and then just stands there for a few seconds , looking at me.

vincent : fuck it!

and the next moment , he just kisses me. straight up. for a good minute, his lips were so velvity soft. just so smooth. he then takes a step away and smiles and says he'll see me tonight and then hes gone.

Yeah what just happened , did I get my first kiss ever like right now , I mean just nowwwww woah.
