"I am soooo bored, is there anything interesting happening today Wendy?" I sigh looking at the register.
Wendy Corduroy; 15. Beautiful Long Auburn red hair. Green eyes. Freckles. Slender body and pale skin. She wears a brown-ish lumberjack hat, her outfit is a jade plaid shirt with a white tank top underneath, blue jeans, and muddy rain boots. It's been a few days since I've met her. So far I could tell she's very friendly, confident, and easygoing. I'll say we'd be very good friends for a long time, plus she's very cool.
"Nothing much man, it's probably gonna be a slow day. So just relax," she stretches at the cashier seat as she goes back to doing her thing, reading some magazine while her feet are on the counter.
Sigh. I really don't know how she's so laid back. Right now I'm sweeping the floor while she's in the cashier.
So far it's only been a week since I moved here in a sleepy town called- Gravity Falls Oregon.
Well, my parent dragged me here, so that's why I'm here.
Since I just turned 14 my mom decided it's alright for me to take a job here.
So currently I'm working somewhere called, 'Mystery Shack'.
Mostly it's just helping customers, cleaning the floors, and restocking the shelves. It's easy nothing too difficult.
I started around my third day at Gravity Falls, which is also when I met Wendy. She showed me what to do and how to get away with slacking off.
The pay is not that good, but the work isn't hard and most of the time I slack off so I guess that's fair..
"Where's Soos by the way?" I asked looking at Wendy.
"I don't know, Stan probably needed something fixing and asked Soos." She answers.
'Soos' Ramirez; He has short brown hair. Wears a brown cap. He wears a jade green-ish shirt with a question mark in the middle, he also wears beige shorts. Pretty great guy, super friendly. Helps out most of the time in the shop and with repairs.
"Oh yeah dude, almost forgot" I turn my head towards Wendy, "Stan said that his great- nephew and niece should arrive today, so.. yeah, that's something."
Stan Pines; The owner of the mystery shack. He has gray hair with brown eyes. He looks like he's in his 70's, definitely.. or maybe older. He usually wears a suit and a fez hat with glasses. The time I was with him he seems rather grumpy most of the time.
"Two of them?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yep, that's what he said anyway," She says confirming my question.
After a few moments, Stan comes out from the living room. Speak of the devil.
"Okay listen up you two, since my nephew and niece will arrive today, which is around an hour from now." He looks at his watch before turning to the both of us, "One of you will pick them up. So who's it gonna be?" He says with a grin.
"Not me," Wendy says instantly.
"Wait-! Not-"
"Alright, guess it's you kiddo," Stan says cutting me off.
"Whaaaat.." I say sadly, "Why can't you do it, Stan?" I retort. "Besides I'm busy sweeping the.. floor," I gesture to the said floor, it was already partly clean, I just wanted to make an excuse not to go out.
"Because someone has to run the shack," he makes a very good point, "And because I said so." He says strictly before turning and leaving the room.
"Fine..." I start walking towards the door, "See ya, Wendy."
