"What's your name?" Someone asks.

I turn around and see a girl with a big smile.

"Uh, Y/N or as everyone calls me, the new kid." I say.

"I'm Dixie." The girl says.

"It makes me wonder why you're talking to me." I say.

"Just curious." Dixie says.

"I figured." I say.

Time Skip

I don't know how I got here, but I was at Dixie's house.

"Why are you locking the door?" I ask.

"My sister can be annoying." Dixie says.

The door starts to close but someone pushes it open.

"Charli that's Y/N. Y/N that's Charli." Dixie says.

"Hi." Charli says.

Dixie's phone this and she picks it up.

"I gotta answer it, but make sure she doesn't die." Dixie says leaving.

"Dramatic." Charli says.

"What do you when you are bored?" She asks.

"I used to teach elementary kids how to play the piano." I say.

"You play?" She asks.

"Yeah." I say.

"You have to play me a song." She says.

"I guess so." I say.

She smiles and takes me downstairs to her piano. I sit down and she sits next to me.

3 minutes later...

"That was good." Charli says.

"It's about a text I got when I landed at the airport. That was the first time I ever played it." I say.

"When did you make it?" She asks.

"I made it on my flight to get here from California." I say.

"Is there a guy back in California?" She asks.

"No, but there is a girl." I say.

"What's her name?" She asks.

"Elodie Harris." I say.

"How long have you been together?" She asks.

"1 year, but we broke and got back together." I say.

She raises an eyebrow and I sigh.

I got off the plane and I had at least 10 texts from Elodie.

She told me how much she loved me and how she always had. I loved her too, but I was basically across the country.

She smiles and Dixie comes over to us.

I look at her phone and start to cry.

"That's my best friend and this was at my house." I say.

"It's okay." Charli says.

"Let's show her what she's missing out on." Dixie says.

"Really?" I ask.

"Alright, kiss her cheek." Charli says looking at her phone.

Dixie kisses my cheek and Charli takes a photo.

"Now, we wait." She says.

My phone rings and she sighs.

"Never mind." She says as I answer it.

"What. The. Hell?" Elodie says as they walk away.

"You're kissing other girls." She says.

"What about Ethan?" I ask.

"That's an old photo." She says.

"I moved into that house before I met Ethan. We were dating before I met Ethan." I say.

"Now I see you can do better, I want you back." She says.

"That's what you said the last time we broke up. I kissed Katelyn at a party before she moved and we got back together." I say.

"You're that's strike 2." She says.

"It's D'Amelio." I say before hanging up.

I put my phone in my back pocket and Dixie comes to me.

"You okay?" Dixie asks.

I turn around and kiss her.

"I thought you wanted to be with Elodie." She says.

"No, I want to be with you." I say.

"Why?" She asks.

"I have 99 reasons to." I say.

She smiles and kisses me.
