"Who's a good boy?" I ask.

Oreo howls and I smile.

Sadie was talking to a family and I look at my watch. She was supposed to go on her lunch break an hour ago.

"I'll take care of them. You can take my lunch break too." I say.

"Thank you." Sadie says leaving.

"How can I help you guys?" I ask.

"We are looking for a dog." The man says.

"Do you want a specific breed?" I ask.

"Not really." The woman says.

"Come around here and I'll let you see the dogs." I say grabbing the key.

They nod their heads and go around. I open the door and they come in. I let them in the gate and the girl kneels beside Blue.

"He's so cute." The girl says rubbing his belly.

"What's his name?" The older girl asks.

"We call him Oreo." I say.

"That's so cute." The woman says.

"Can we get him?" The younger girl asks.

"Dixie?" The man asks.

"What ever makes the Dunkin Addict happy." Dixie says.

"We'll bring him home." The woman says.

"When Oreo was born, his front right leg was shorter than other ones. He has to do certain things everyday to help the pain in his leg." I say.

"How would we take care of him?" The man asks.

"I could give you instructions on how to take care of him." I say.

"She's a big brain." Dixie says.

I laugh and she smiles.

8 minutes later...

"Here are the instructions." I say giving Marc the paper.

"Thank you." Marc says.

They leave and Dixie smirks at me.

"I'm gonna need your number." Dixie says.

"To help you with Oreo?" I ask.

"Of course." She says.

I write my number down and give the paper to her.

"I'll call it Oreo need help." She says.

I wink at her and she smiles before leaving.
