"How is it gone?!" I exclaimed, anxious and furious.

"You totaled it." He said as though I were stupid.

"I know..." I replied without anything else to say.

I spent 2 more hours in the hospital, figuring out the wheelchair and trying to cope with my lack of properly functioning legs. Once I was assured I knew how to get around and do everyday tasks, I had to fill out a bunch of papers since I turned 18 in the past month. It was strange. Being considered an adult was certainly scary.

I called my mom and explained myself. She was shocked by everything that happened in 12 hours. Justin stayed with me for the 4 hours I spent in the dreaded place. It was nice to have someone to push me instead of manually operating it. On the way out the door, he stopped the wheelchair.

"Close your eyes." He instructed.

I laughed. "I know what the outdoors look like." I said.

"Just close them.

I shut my eyes and felt the wheelchair go over the door stopper.

"Open."

I widened my eyes at the sight of a shining, silver Camaro. Justin stood next to me and asked me what I thought of it. I started crying because I was beyond happy with it. A smile stretched across his face.

"Why are you smiling? I'm the one that got a new car!" I said, still sobbing.

"When you smile, I smile?" He shrugged. I may not have listened to much of his music, but I knew those were his song lyrics and I cackled off my tears of joy.

Feeling a bit bipolar with my emotions, I sighed and asked him if I could drive. Of course, he rejected.

"How are you supposed to move your legs, goofball?" He giggled. I realized my stupidity and laughed at myself.

He helped me in and put my wheelchair in the trunk, as I admired the smell and feel of the brand new leather. As I gazed upon the interior, I noticed an engraving of the first sentence I'd ever said to Justin. No hats in school. I smiled like an idiot at the engravement, as he buckled his seatbelt.

"I see you enjoy my personalization." He said, acknowledging my stare. "I just figured you would want to remember me." He continued with a grin.

"You make it sound like you're going to leave or something..." I stated, making it sound like a question.

"No. I just. Well... I don't know." He mumbled.

"What are you trying to say?" I asked, realizing we still hadn't moved the car an inch.

"I just don't know if public school is such a good idea." He sighed.
