"Let's escape together!"

I faked smiling again, I then grabbed Jeno's tie and pulled it so his lips landed on mine. All the men roared with cheers and the women squealed as I gave him a kiss. I pulled away, jeno smiled to me and whispered a quick 'thank you'. We went back to eating the food.

After eating the food they served us it was time to meet Jeno's work friends. Jeno took my hand and dragged me to meet these people. We talked with them for a few minutes and it felt weird because they kept calling me the queen and Jeno the king....what did that mean? What were we the king and queen of? It annoyed me how confused I was.

We were talking to this fairly young couple, like Jeno and I. I noticed something was off about the woman, she seemed scared, it was like she was forced to be with this man. I wanted to know more.

"Babe, would you like a drink from the bar?" I asked as Jeno and the guy was talking.

He smiled and told me what he wanted. "Why don't you take my girlfriend Cassie? You two can get closer" The guy said and smiled.

I smiled back to him and nodded. I took Cassie's hand and we went to the bar.

"Hey, I saw you looked a little sad. Did something happen?" I asked Cassie while waiting in line to order.

"I shouldn't be talking to you. You are in charge of everyone here. Someone like you shouldn't be caring about someone like me" she said as her head was down.

What did she just say? 'You are in charge of everyone here'. I was speechless. That sentence kept repeating in my mind. We both ordered the drinks.

I was about to get my purse out when the bartender refused "ah! No no madam, please don't pay. You are too special to us" He exclaimed.

I couldn't say anything, I just smiled and nodded. He made the drinks and gave it to us. I gave Jeno his drink. Cassie and I sat down somewhere else and talked.

"Ok so I need you to answer this for me. People keep calling me 'the queen'....what does that mean?" I ask desperate.

Cassie lifts up an eyebrow. "Seriously? You don't know why you are called the queen?" She asks.

I nod as she starts to explain. "Ok so everyone that is here....they are mafias. They do mafia things everyday. Killing people, earning money all the time, things like that. They even have guns strapped to their legs or chests. I don't have a weapon because I'm not part of this mafia. I'm just a mafia's girlfriend. Jeno is the boss of everyone and you are his girlfriend that is loved by all of us. Soon you will get married to him. That's why we have been calling you two king and queen" I nearly spat all my water when she said that. "What?? Are you serious??" I ask wiping my face with a napkin.

She nods. "Also, I need to escape. That guy you see with Jeno, he kidnapped me. His name is Archie. We used to be together but I ended things and moved away. He somehow found me and forced me to be with him. He threatens me saying if I escape then he will find me again and do something really bad. I have a plan on how I can escape and he will never find me" she gushes out to me.

I'm shocked but I also feel bad for Cassie. I'm going through the same thing and I'm too scared to runaway. Cassie tells me her plan and we go through it multiple times.
