It Was Always You

A couple of weeks after, I promised to help Ara with their wedding plans. From their venue, theme, up to the smallest details. Ara told me that everything was already prepared since last year. Kumbaga, what were we supposed to do is finishing touch.

"Ano bang theme nyo?" I asked Ara who was scanning her laptop.

"Gusto kasi namin ni Thom, beach wedding. Kaya nga May yung napili naming date." Ara answered me. Little did we know, Ara and Thomas were engaged since last year! They have planned the whole wedding long before. Family lang nila ang may alam.

"Grabe, how did you guys pull this off? I mean, natago nyo sa lahat!" I said, full of amazement.

"Well, si Thomas talaga. We had coordinators. Kaya ngayon, fitting nalang ng gowns." We entered a boutique of a famous designer, Michael Cinco.

"Sir Michael, this is Mika. She's one of our secondary sponsors." Ara and I sat before Sir Michael.

"Sige hija, fit your gown na." He gave me a free flowing green gown.

"Miss Ara, ready na rin yung bridal gown mo." We entered separate dressing rooms. After a few minutes, Ara called me.

"Ano, Daks? Bagay ba?"

"Ang ganda sayo Ara!!!" We both squealed.

Afterwards, we went to a food caterer for the food tasting. Ara and I were tasting each food when I suddenly felt an urge to vomit. So, I excused myself for a second to use the washroom.

"Daks? Ayos ka lang? You look pale." Ara said after I returned from the washroom.

"Sumama lang pakiramdam ko, I got dizzy eh. But, I'm fine now." I said then Ara's phone rang.

"Hello Kiefer? Oo, kasama ko pa."  Ara handed me her phone and mouthed, "Kakausapin ka."

"Babe? Oh bakit?" I asked on the other line.

"Ara texted me a while ago na nahilo ka daw. You okay now?"  This is Kiefer's protective mode on.

"Yes babe. Ikaw naman, parang nahilo lang."

"Sige na, training ko na ulit. Okay? Bye. I love you." He said.

"Okay. I love you too." Then I handed the phone to Ara.

We stopped over an ice cream parlor after. I asked Ara if we can stay there and get some ice cream.

"Ice cream? Tataba ka nyan sige ka!" Ara told me while we were lining up before the counter.

"Basta daks, alam mo naman mga sudden cravings ko." I ordered three scoops of Chocolate Peppermint and two scoops of Creme Brulè while Ara ordered a Banana Split.

"Nako lagot ka nyan kay Coach, calories na naman!" Ara scolded me once more.

"Lumalakas na naman ako kumain Daks!" I scoffed.

"Matagal ka ng matakaw!" Ara and I talked about their upcoming wedding. She was so excited and can't wait for her day. I'm happy for Ara, to think that no one really did see that Thomara will happen.

"Ayan na pala sundo mo eh. Hi Kiefer!" Ara stood and bro fisted with Kiefer.

"Hello Ara! How's the wedding?" Kiefer sat beside me.

"Nakakapagod pala magplano, buti na nga lang at kasama ko si Mika." I nodded.

"Kief, di mo pa kasama si Thomas?" Ara asked him but Kiefer just shrugged off his shoulders. "I don't know, pero sabi nya may surprise yata sya sayo. Oops! Hahaha, we gotta go!" We waved good bye to Ara and went home.
