Bayley was on her way home from work. It was a long and tiring day full of investigations and hunting down criminals. She was so ready to come home to her girlfriend and relax on the couch. Bayley pulled her car into the driveway and got out and walked into the house. "Babe I'm home." She said as she closed the door and set the alarm. She slipped out of her boots and utility belt before taking off her shirt. She was left with her white under shirt and work pants. She walked into the kitchen where she smelled something cooking.
Sasha felt herself smile as she heard the front door open and Bayley announce she was home. She had to bite down on her lower lip to hide her excitement as she made her way into the kitchen. Sasha had to do her best to hold in the exciting news she learned earlier that day. She had found out that she was pregnant, and the sonogram earlier showed her that the baby was healthy and growing perfectly. It was a good sign. It also fell perfectly into alignment with Bayley's birthday being just a couple of days away.
"Hey you." Bayley said as she wrapped her arms around Sasha's waist and kissed her cheek. "How was your day?" She asked softly. "What are you making?"
"My day was good. I did a little bit of shopping." Sasha admitted. Which was true. She went to Wal-Mart for some groceries, and wandered into the baby section where she found the most adorable onesie that she couldn't help but to buy. "I'm making salmon, sweet potatoes and green beans...in other words, your favorite." She turned to glance up at her girlfriend before kissing her cheek.
Bayley smiled softly, "Oh yeah? Shopping?" She asked as she poured herself a glass of water. "No clients today?" Bayley asked taking a long drink. She smiled as she heard what Sasha was cooking. "No wonder it smelled so good." She said as she kissed Sasha's cheek. "Did I miss an important date...am I forgetting something?" She asked with a small laugh. She helped Sasha by setting the table with the silverware and plates. "Do you need any help finishing dinner?" She asked.
Sasha rolled her eyes some. "Well, your birthday is coming up too and I'm busy the rest of the week." She glanced to her girlfriend as she pulled the fish off of the heat. "I'm starting with a new client tomorrow, so my day was free today. The client is actually in Boston so it's a bit of a drive in the mornings." She sighed some as she checked on the potatoes and green beans. "It's actually almost done. I timed it perfectly for you getting home, baby." She sighed contently as Bayley hugged her from behind. Sasha slowly smiled when she felt her girlfriend's hands on her stomach and it excited her to be able to tell her.
Bayley chuckled as she held Sasha closely against her body. "I know that is coming up, but I thought we were going to celebrate with a date and sex on Friday?" She said with a smile. "So you're giving me two birthday days." She said with a small chuckle. Bayley filled both of their glasses up with water and put them on the table.
Sasha found herself struggling to hold back her smile. She had a strong feeling that Bayley was going to be excited by the news, but she wanted to wait as long as she could to bring out the gift. "You saying it like that makes it sound like we schedule our sex, baby." She giggled at her as she got their plates together to bring out to the table. Taking a deep breath she looked to her girlfriend.
Bayley shook her head. "We don't schedule our sex...all the time. I mean sometimes we have to when we both are busy." She rambled. "But I thought sex was implied because it's my birthday." She laughed.
Sasha laughed at Bayley's response. "Yes, sex is implied because it's your birthday."
"Anyway, how was your day?" Sasha asked as she smiled at Bayley.
"My day was busy. Had a suspect that we were trying to hunt down all day." Bayley responded as she let Sasha go.
"Well...did you catch the suspect?" Sasha knew Bayley couldn't talk much about her work and had to keep everything vague and she respected that.
