~Aspect's P.O.V~

"Here you are Aspect," Jaehyun said, handing me my cherry mocha.

"Thanks," I unwillingly said. I Figured I couldn't be too rude. After all, he did pay.

After I told Kun I was leaving, Jaehyun took me to a relatively secluded coffee shop. The atmosphere and interior were quite nice. I guess it's safe to say I might just visit it more often.

"So, how is this place? I come here a lot nowadays," Jaehyun said as soon as he sat down in front of me.

"It's alright," I replied coolly. He rolled his eyes and smiled softly at my dull response.

"Come on Aspect,  it's just us two. You can drop the cold exterior a little bit," he chuckled. I sighed and looked down at my coffee. I didn't say anything, since I didn't know how to respond. This caused a ripple effect and made him sigh too. "How about we play the question game?" Jaehyun asked me.

I looked up at with with pure confusion as I said, "What the fuck is the question game?" He shrugged.

"I don't know. I made it up. But it goes like, I'll ask you a question. Then you ask me a question. And we have to answer honestly. Simple as that." Jaehyun explained. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay fine. As long as it'll get you to shut up. But if I don't like the question, I'm not answering," I told him.

"Fair enough. Now let's start," He announced excitedly. I sighed and questioned myself, 'What did I just get myself into?'.

"I'll go first," Jaehyun proudly stated. I sighed and motioned for him to go ahead. "What's your real name" He cheekily smiled while asking.

I crossed my arms and chuckled. "Skip" I replied with the same smile. He pouted and groaned.

"Okay fine then. Where are you from? On your profile it doesn't say anything." Jaehyun asked, I gave him a look.

"Analyzing my profile now are we Jaehyun?" I mocked. He chuckled a bit.

"Don't flatter yourself." He joked. I smiled slightly and answered.

"I'm from Fujian, China. Now, my question. What made you join NCT?" I asked him. There wasn't much to ask since his profile had quite a bit. But this question genuinely interests me. Why do people decide to devote their lives to a mafia?

Jaehyun noticeably sighed at the question. However, he still answered it. "When I was younger, about 7 or 8, my parents just decided that I wasn't good enough to be in the family. They were rich and successful, and I had always been the problem child. So, they left me on the side of the road, like I was garbage. I had wandered for hours that day. Until Taeyong's parents found me and took me in. It wasn't long until I realized that they were in a mafia, well more like they ran a mafia. So when they knew that I knew, they gave me a choice. I could either grow up and help Taeyong take over the family business one day, or they'd kill me since I knew too much. So obviously I took the one that would save my life." Jaehyun explained. He looked really upset afterwards, and I couldn't blame him. He didn't ask for this life, and I couldn't help but sympathize with that.

I was shocked, to say the least. So, I took his hand and said "I'm sorry you had to do that".

He looked surprised at the sudden contact, just like how I was surprised I did it, and then he smiled. "It's okay, now it's my turn. Since you asked me and I told you my tragic origin story, what's yours?"

I chuckled softly and looked at him. Normally I wouldn't answer this but it's only fair seeing how he answered mine so honestly.

"Okay, fine. But if you tell anyone I will murder you" I told him seriously. He put his hands up in defense and motioned for me to continue. So I did, "Kun is my brother, he and I were born into this. Kind of like Taeyong. However, my parents were going to let my oldest brother, Donghai, take over and Kun and I were going to be able to leave and not associate ourselves. But, one day when my eldest brother and my father were on a mission together, both of them and the rest of our men got wiped out by a rival group, Seventeen. This left us with no one, our group was almost destroyed. So in order to keep our father and our brother's legacy, Kun stepped up and said he would take over the group. I told him I would join and help, since Kun and I had trained all our lives despite us not being next in line. However he wouldn't let me, he always said it was too dangerous. So Lucas, Ten, Xiaojun, Winwin and Hendery were all training at this time, but Kun quickly bumped them up and then he had his group. Later on YangYang joined and then I followed not too long after since my mom begged Kun to let me in. Hence why there's pretty much no information in my file. Kun didn't want me to be in the group let alone have anyone able to find out about me." I explained to him, I think it's safe to say Jaehyun looked pretty shocked too.

"I'm really sorry that happened to you too. I'm also sorry about you brother and father." He told me sadly. I shrugged it off.

"It's alright, it's in the past now. Can't do much about it now" I stated, taking a sip from my drink. Jaehyun looked at me with a smirk now so I cocked an eyebrow.

"Well to lighten up the mood, you realize I can probably figure out your name now and everything about you now from the story right?" Jaehyun joked, the cocky look never fading.

I smirked back at him and said, "No you won't. I had a private birth, home-schooled all my life and I was never allowed to leave the house. Neither was Kun. So don't even try it." I concluded with a smile.

Jaehyun looked impressed. "You never fail to amaze me, Aspect" he told me, crossing his arms I shrugged with a smile.

"Yeah, I get that a lot".
