Y/N dragged Jimin further into the house then shut the door. She quickly checked his injuries, but there was so much blood on his clothes that Y/N couldn't see where he was hurt. She ran and got her phone and called Hoseok, knowing he was just getting off of work. He picked up after the third ring, sounding tired. "Hobi," Y/N sobbed into the phone. "I need your help."
The tiredness left his voice immediately. "What's wrong Y/N?" he asked, the concern evident in his voice.
Y/N quickly explained the situation and Hoseok said he would be there as soon as he could. Y/N got some towels, a blanket, and a bowl of warm water. She covered Jimin with the blanket to warm him up since his hands were ice cold. She sat on the floor next to the unconscious hybrid and tried to gently clean the blood from his face, looking for any major wounds. There didn't seem to be any deep wounds on his face, but there were several fresh scratches.
Y/N bounded to her feet when she heard the doorbell ring. She quickly let Hoseok in and led him over to Jimin. Y/N watched with tears streaming down her cheeks as Hoseok kneeled down and quickly examined him, checking his head, neck and torso. She turned away when Hoseok cut off his hoodie to tend to the wounds on his chest and abdomen, but not before Y/N got a glimpse of his beautiful frame.
Hoseok leaned back on his heels and looked up at Y/N. "He probably has a concussion but I'm not entirely sure since he's unconscious. He has several abrasions to his torso, arms, and legs, but there's nothing that looks to be life threatening so that's good. I'm going to assume he was beaten by the looks of the wounds. He's definitely malnourished and could use several good meals. He's going to need to be watched overnight and probably most of tomorrow. I can have him transported to the shelter," he suggested, pulling out his phone to make the call.
Y/N shook her head emphatically. "No. No shelter. I can look after him," she said quickly.
Hoseok looked at her in surprise, not able to hide his shock at her words. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Taking care of a hybrid is a big responsibility. Taking care of an injured one is even more so."
Y/N nodded her head. "He came here when he could have gone anywhere else. I don't want him waking up in a strange place thinking I've let him down," she said, her voice strong with conviction.
Hoseok leaned over and wiped the tears from her cheeks then stood up. "You're a good person," he said. "I'll leave you some ointment for the scratches and I'll write him a prescription for an antibiotic to keep the odds of infection low. Although the wounds are not serious, he is still at risk for infection since he's so dirty. I can give him the first dose intravenously, but then you can pick up the pills from the shelter tomorrow or I can bring them by," he explained. Hoseok pulled a plastic case out of his bag and took a syringe out of it. He filled the syringe with medicine from a tiny bottle then gently injected it into Jimin's bicep.
"Thanks Hobi," Y/N said. "I really appreciate it. Can you help me get him into bed before you leave?" She wanted to make sure he was comfortable while he rested and didn't think the cold hardwood floor would be good enough.
Hoseok nodded then reached down and picked up the smaller male easily. Y/N pointed him in the direction of the guest bedroom, opening the door. She flicked on the overhead light and entered the brightly lit room. Hoseok followed her in, carrying Jimin like he was a small child. Y/N hurried and pulled back the blanket on the bed and Hoseok lay Jimin down. Even though Jimin had left, she had never forgotten about him. He had been in her thoughts and on her mind constantly.
Y/N looked at the small sleeping cat. His face and hands were filthy and it was clear he hadn't had a bath in several days. When he collapsed, he was still wearing the clothes Y/N had given him. All he had on now were the joggers since Hoseok had to cut off the hoodie.
"If I bring you a shirt, can you slip it on him?" Y/N asked. "I don't want him waking up shirtless and think I was trying to take advantage of him." Hoseok laughed at her dry tone and nodded.
Y/N hurried into her room, pulling out another of Jay's shirts, a simple white t-shirt and waited while Hoseok gently maneuvered it over his head to cover his injured torso.
Y/N gently covered him up then touched his forehead, brushing his tangled black hair out of his beautiful face. "Do you really think he'll be alright?" Y/N asked, worry in her voice.
Hoseok nodded. "He's going to be sore for a few days, but he'll make a full recovery. He needs lost of rest, antibiotics, and good healthy meals. If it gets to be too much for you then call me. We have plenty of room at the shelter and he'll have round the clock care," Hoseok offered.
Y/N shook her head. "No. I'd rather him be here where I can look out for him. Where I can see he's being take care of," Y/N explained as she walked Hoseok to the door. She hugged him quickly, grateful for his help. He had dropped everything he was doing to rush over here to help and she would be eternally thankful for him. "Thanks again for everything."
"Call me if you need anything," Hoseok said, as he let himself out, closing the door behind him.
Y/N locked the door then leaned up against it for a moment, running a hand down her face in frustration. She had given up hope of ever seeing Jimin again but then all of a sudden he showed up at her door, asking for her help. She wouldn't let him down. She made that promise to herself. Whatever he needed, she would get him. Even if it was just a bed and food for the next few days. Deep down she hoped that the quiet cat would stay.
Y/N changed into her pajamas then headed back into the guest room, turning off the bright overhead light and switching on the dim lamp next to the bed. She pulled a chair up next to the bed and leaned forward, reaching for Jimin's hand. "Who did this to you, sweet kitty?" she asked in the quiet room. She didn't understand the way some people treated hybrids. Y/N didn't want to believe it, but Hoseok said he was beaten. Only a human would do this him and it made her sick inside. She stroked his fingers with hers, trying to give the injured cat some type of comfort. She rested her head on her arms on the edge of the bed, looking at his beautiful features. Y/N knew she should let go of his hand, but couldn't just yet. She needed the reassurance that he was okay. Just a few more minutes, she said to herself, before falling asleep with Jimin's hand in hers.
