A short while later, Y/N entered the hybrid shelter followed by Jimin and Namjoon. Hoseok was standing at the front counter, talking to the receptionist, Cheyenne.
"Hey gorgeous," Hoseok called out. "Long time no see!"
Y/N went over and hugged him tightly. "Hi Hobi! I missed you!" She turned to Namjoon. "Joonie this is Dr. Jung Hoseok. He's the doctor who patched up my kitty for me. Hobi, this is Joonie. He's an old friend of mine."
The two men shook hands. "Nice to meet you Doc," Namjoon said.
"Please. Just Hoseok or Hobi is fine," Hoseok said with a smile then turned to Jimin. "Hey Jimin. How are you doing? How's the heat cycles going?"
Jimin flushed at the question before darting a glance at Y/N. "They're fine. I'm fine," he mumbled. He didn't want to admit that the last heat cycle was spent in Y/N's bed, buried inside her. He was still taking his pills, but as soon as he sank himself into Y/N's warmth, the cycle would pass.
Hoseok caught the look, but didn't say anything. He had a feeling something deeper was happening between the two, but it wasn't his business and he wasn't going to question it as long as they both seemed happy.
"How's everything going here?" Y/N asked.
Hoseok smiled. "Pretty good," he said. "We've gotten a couple new hybrids in. They seem to be fitting in okay."
Y/N smiled. "That's good to hear. We're going to the cafe. Want to come along?" she asked.
Hoseok looked at the clock. "Sure," he agreed, starving and ready for food. "My shift is over in twenty minutes. Can I meet you there?"
Y/N nodded. "Sounds good," she replied. She reached over and took Jimin's hand. "Don't take too long," she said, winking at Hoseok.
Jimin smiled at the feel of Y/N's hand in his. He didn't want her to be ashamed of their relationship. He squeezed her hand, causing her to turn and look at him.
Y/N, Jimin, and Namjoon left the shelter, with Hoseok promising he would be there soon.
"What's the deal with Hoseok?" Namjoon asked, after they were settled in Y/N's car.
"What do you mean?" Y/N asked.
"He's kind of hot," Namjoon said in response. "Is he single?"
Jimin looked confused at Namjoon's question before it finally sank in. His heart felt a lot lighter when he realized Namjoon was not a threat to his and Y/N's relationship.
Y/N laughed. "I don't know honestly," she said. "It's not something we ever discussed."
Namjoon nodded his head in understanding. "Gotcha," he replied, giving her a bright smile that showed off his perfect dimples. He hadn't been in a relationship in a couple of years and was hoping to meet someone. He was happy for the love his best friend had found and wanted to find his own happy ending.
A short while later, Y/N pulled up in front of the café and the trio exited the car, heading into the building together.
"This is a cute little place," Namjoon said as they entered the cafe.
They walked up to the counter to place their order. A hybrid Y/N had never seen before was standing behind the counter, his nametag reading Yoongi. He had orange hair and skin as pale as porcelain, his white tipped orange ears and fluffy tail easily identified him as a fox. He greeted them in a gruff voice that surprised them all.
"Yoongi," a voice called from the back. "You have to be polite to customers." Jin came from the back, with a slightly annoyed expression on his face, but he smiled when he saw Y/N. He came around the counter and pulled her into a hug. "Hey doll! How are you?"
