Chapter 6

Jennie's POV

me and Jisoo had arrived inside the library. I immediately went to the desk to see if Lisa was there but I frowned when I saw someone else.

"what are you frowning at? were you expecting someone?" Jisoo arched a brow and I just shook my head and went to the tall guy who was standing by the desk.

"uhm, I'm just here to return a book" I gave the guy a smile even though I was expecting Lisa to be here with her usual grumpy look.

"oh hey, your name is soobin right?" Jisoo says and had a little chat with this guy named soobin. I just found out that he's a freshman here in our school and is hoping to find new friends. He's a chill guy, I can sense that he's fun to be with.

I let Jisoo walk out of the library after I finished returning the book to Soobin because I had to ask him if he saw Lisa anywhere.

"I'm sorry, Jennie but I didn't see her today. She did leave a note tho, I don't know where this place is but, here, you might know." he says and handed me the sticky note she left.

"her penmanship is so attractive" I involuntarily blurted out and immediately blushed at what I just said.

"did you say something?" soobin asked but I immediately denied, gosh Jennie what's up with you??

he nodded and I went back to reading what the note contains.

'gone out to my chill spot' hmmm, she's probably at the football field again right?? I handed the note back to soobin after reading it, I'll just tell Jisoo to stop by the football field before we go get ice cream, I really need to talk to her again.

"oh can you please throw it away for me? I still have lots of books to place back in their proper shelves" he says with full of charm. I said yes to his request and instead of throwing it away I placed it inside my pocket.

I met Jisoo by the entrance of the library. "what took you so long?? I was waiting for ages" she complains and I just rolled my eyes and smiled right after. I didn't even speak but instead, I pulled her arm going to the football field.

"y-yah! where are you taking me, Jen!" she complains again but I just continued pulling her.

we arrived at the football field and I excitedly went to the spot where she usually sits but she wasn't there. I felt kinda sad but oh well, I'll probably see her later. I hope I do.

I heard Jisoo panting behind me. "geez...aren't you like catching your breathe or something??? I'm drained already" she says and I turned around to face her only to see her trying to catch my breathe. I chuckled a little and  forgot about not seeing Lisa.

"let's go get some ice cream now"I told her and she just looked at me with disbelief. "You brought me here for nothing?? unbelievable" she says and I just smiled as I shook my head.

"I thought I'd see someone here again" I said and pulled her arm again. "I swear Jen, I think my arm will break if you keep on pulling me like this" she complains but I just shrugged it off.

we arrived at the ice cream shop and got our ice creams, we also bought Rosé a pint since she's been working really hard. I got out and I always forget how beautiful the river is, it just looks so peaceful.

"hey, if you keep staring at the river then Rosé's ice cream will melt. come on" Jisoo says and started pulling me but my eyebrows knitted when I saw someone familiar sitting under a tree.
I stopped at my tracks causing Jisoo to look at me again with an annoyed look.

"here, take this to Rosé. I'll catch up with you, I just have to fix something" I told her and pushed her away. she was confused but she went off anyway..

I walked behind Lisa trying not to make a sound but I immediately failed when I heard her sigh.

"do you really follow me anywhere like a creep?" she asked, not even bothered to look at me. I rolled my eyes and smiled before I sat beside her.

"I'm not a creep and I don't follow you either. I just saw you when we got out of the ice cream shop" I replied and looked by the river where she's looking at.

"excuses..." she whispers but it was loud enough for me to hear.

"it ain't excuses! why would I follow someone who's really boring and grumpy?" I asked her and she just gave me and amused grin. "then why are you here sitting beside me like we're close friends?" she asked slowly closing the space between us staring at me eye to eye. I don't know why but everytime I get in contact with her eyes, I just feel like I'm so lost in those deep brown doe eyes.

she snapped her fingers infront of me which made me snap out. "oh uh...I'm here to ask you again..."

"about what exactly?" she asked and backed away, obviously not interested in what I was about to say. "the band, I need you to be our guitarist." I told her seriously, I don't think I've been this serious my whole life.

she bit her bottom lip as she tried to stop a laugh and I'm starting to get pissed off.

"look, I know that you think I'm joking but I'm not. Please, just consider my offer...on behalf of the band, we really want you to be the guitarist" I pleaded but her face didn't even change.

she stood up without saying a word then looked down at me.

"you can't just force someone to join something they're not interested with" she says then left me there again. ARGHH how can she be this annoying?!?!
