Chapter 18

Jennie's POV

I was walking on the hallway on my way to my first class when I heard someone panting behind me. I turned around only to see Jisoo catching her breath after running after me?

"oh hey Jisoo, did you just run a marathon?" I asked but she shook her head. "where is Rosé? she isn't at the apartment and her car is gone" she worriedly asked. My forehead creased, didn't Rosé tell her?

"she got a call from auntie and uncle the other day, she was needed back at home. I wonder why she didn't tell you knowing that she's your roommate" I told her and her mouth hang open.

"she left without me knowing?!? I could have drove her there" Jisoo says as we started walking again. "aight don't be salty now, she's gonna stay there for a few days. She probably just forgot to tell you." I replied as I took my seat.

"yeah...I guess I really shouldn't be shocked, I didn't come to the apartment yesterday...." she confessed which made me confused.

"why?? are you guys mad at each other?" I asked hoping that they figure it out as soon as Rosé comes back. she shook her head while browsing her notes.

"nah, it's just me being a grumpy ass. I was sleeping at Seulgi's apartment since the day that you know which is probably why she didn't mention anything to me. I feel bad now" she looked down and bit her lip

"hey, you could still say sorry to her when she comes back you know? Explain yourself, tell her the reason why you were so affected the other day." I cheered her up. She looked at me with a smile on her face. "Oh what would we do without you, Jen. thanks." She says and that made my heart sink a little.

"what's up with that face of yours?" I creased my forehead with what Lisa said. She literally came out of nowhere, well...I guess I kinda knew that she's here in the library. I honestly just wanted a place to think peacefully but my feet brought me here.

"what do you mean?" I asked. She sat beside me and looked at the scattered books on the table, it's for our future topics in some specific subjects.

"I meant your smile, why isn't it present today? you just finished your exams today right? shouldn't you be celebrating?" she asked but I just shrugged.

"I've got no one to celebrate it with, Rosé is back at her hometown and Jisoo is busy with her practices. I'm not in the mood either." I told her but her reaction surprised me. It was like she couldn't believe everything I said.

"not in the mood? are you really the Jennie I know?"

I raised a brow at her but she just sighed.

"the jennie I know always smiles...oh you should see her with her signature smile, she's amazing! and the Jennie I know doesn't give up easily, believe it or not she actually gave me such a headache just to make me say yes. unbelievable right? do you know her?" she says. I broke into laughter after hearing what she said, she even acted it right infront of me.

"silly grumpy head..." I blurted out as a smile appeared on my face. she just looked at me with her smiling face and looked away shaking her head.

"crazy annoying dumpling" she whispered but it was loud enough for me to hear. I smacked her arm and that made her groan.

"what did you just say?" I crossed my arms and raised a brow at her.

"I said nothing! you're imagining things" she says innocently while caressing her arm with her other hand. we both looked at each other and chuckled, I'm so glad I met this iceberg.

"are you busy tonight?" Lisa asked while we were walking out of the school. It's currently dismissal, Jisoo already told me that she'd stay at school a little longer since she had things to do so I just went with Lisa for the meantime.
