Chapter 28

Lisa's POV

"annyeong!!" Jennie greeted me as soon as I saw her come out of her car. I just waved at her then placed my hand back in my pocket.

"you didn't bring anything?" she asked as she looked at me from head to toe. I then looked at what I brought and I'm pretty sure I brought enough things inside my backpack.

"I did" I told her and pointed her my backpack and she showed me an 'oh' look.

"why? what did you bring?" I asked as we both got in her car, I sat on the driver's seat of course.

"nothing much" she says with a bright smile then munched on some bread. I then looked at the rear mirror and saw a huge suitcase at the back.

"are you sure we're just staying there for today?" I asked her out of the blue as I started the car.

"mhmm!" she hums in agreement since she couldn't speak while munching on the bread.

"sure looks like you'll be staying there for a week" I blurted out as I drove

"woooooohhh!!!!" Jennie cheered as her hair gets blown away by the wind from the window.

"seems like you're enjoying this trip" I told her and she nods at me. The smile on her face won't fade away since earlier. It feels nice seeing her like this.

I then focused on the road and smiled, This day will be awesome.

"Do you want the strawberry one or the chocolate?" she asked as she shows me two kinds of ice cream infront of me.

"Hmmm..."

We had just stop at a convenience store since she was craving for ice cream. I can't believe it hasn't been 15 minutes of driving and we already had a pit stop to get something to eat.

"come on it's not that hard" she complains getting impatient. "okay okay, I'll take the chocolate one" I told her and she looked at the packaging of the ice cream.

"I'll get the same one then" she says and grabs another chocolate drumstick from the freezer. After that we went to the sandwich area to get ourselves sandwiches for later.

"I'll take the ham and cheese sandwich" I told her and she nods as she took the sandwich.

'what sandwich will you get?" I asked her and it seems like she's thinking about it for awhile.

"I'm thinking....an egg sandwich" she says and grabs the sandwich from the shelf.

we then went to the counter and paid for everything then went outside to seat by the bench. She passed me my ice cream then she got hers too.

"thanks" I told her and opened the packaging.

"do you think that they're there already?" she asks and I just shrugged. "how would I know?" I told her and she just narrows her eyes on me.

"I can't seem to contact Rosé and Jisoo....I wonder where they are" she said getting worried.

"they're probably having their quality time together. I'm sure we'll meet all of them there" I assured her.

After our mini pit stop, we went on our way again to the private resort. It's been exactly an hour and I noticed the sudden silence in the car.

I turned to look at Jennie and she was fast asleep, I can hear her soft snores which made me smile. I was looking at her as I was trying to focus on the road, something suddenly caught my attention...

are those bruises?

'silly woman, she must have bumped into somewhere.' I thought and shrugged it off.
