I would like to thank you for all the reads and votes. It's only been a few months and I can't believe I already have 14k reads. I'm so grateful for all of the support.
However, classes are about to start for me and I'm very behind on my summer homework so instead of updating twice a week, I'm going to start updating on only Fridays.
I'm estimating that there's around eight or so more chapters to this story and I'm glad so many of you decided to take a chance on this book and have stuck around for so long.
I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Rain's P.O.V.
My head swirled as I pried my eyes open only to wince at the bright lights shining in my face. I tried to bring my hand up to cover the light but it was held down by something. I looked over to see a sleeping Levi.
His face was shadowed by his exhaustion. He had dark eye bags and he looked gaunt as though he hadn't eaten in weeks. Stubble was beginning to grow on his face and I pulled my hand away from his grasp to gently rub his cheek with my thumb.
"Levi?" I croaked.
At the sound of my voice, he violently flinched and scanned the room for any sign of danger. When he saw there was none, he turned back towards me with dark eyes only for them to melt into pools of caramel once he saw that I was awake.
"Rain!" he shouted, looking at me up and down before finally cupping my cheeks and softly kissing me. "You're okay. You came back."
"I'll always come back, Levi," I whispered. Color was slowly coming back to his face and he didn't look as tired as he was before but that didn't stop me from worrying about his health. "Why do you look so exhausted? Have you been taking care of yourself?"
He shook his head. "It's been over a week since you were hospitalized and I couldn't eat or sleep knowing that I could lose you at any second."
I reached up to place my hands over his. "I'm here now."
"I know," he smiled, warmly.
"Can you get me some water? My throat burns."
"Of course," he assured, rushing out of the room.
I gave a small sigh. It seemed as though I always found myself back in this hospital room.
I stared down at my hands. They were so much paler than usual and I could see all of the blue and purple veins.
There were strange wires stuck to my skin like the first time I had been in this room and the same beeping noises filled the silence. Machines surrounded my bed with words and numbers I couldn't understand. The hospital itself was quiet and somehow it only made me more lonely.
Despite all that Levi and everyone in the pack had done to help me, it seemed as though all I ever brought was trouble and it pained me to know that it was me that had made Levi so worried.
The door opened to reveal Levi with a pitcher full of water and a cup. He poured me a glass and handed it to me, watching as I hesitantly gulped it down. I gave the cup back to him and he leaned over to place it on the table before settling down in his chair.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm alright," I assured. "What happened?"
"Rain, you were poisoned with wolfsbane. Someone slipped it into your meal and if you hadn't vomited, you would have died," Levi said, his hands desperately clutching mine. "I thought I lost you, little moon."
"I'm so sorry, Rain," he choked. "You might never get pregnant. There was too much damage to your internal organs and it's unlikely that we would ever be able to have a baby."
My porcelain heart shattered at his words and memories of what could have been fogged my mind. The thought of having a family with Levi had always been a dream I wanted to fulfill but still, I plastered on a shaky smile and squeezed Levi's trembling hands, pressing my forehead to his.
I reached up a hand and placed it over his heart. I could feel every beat echo in my bones and I knew that as long as I had him, everything would be okay. As long as he was the one I could come home to and spend my nights with, my future was still brighter than I ever thought it would be.
"Levi, I'm sorry for having such a broken body," I said, gently. "But, I know that as long as I'm with you, everything is going to work out. Even if I'm unable to conceive, we can always adopt."
"Yes, that's right," he murmured, leaning forward to kiss away the tears staining my cheeks. "As long as I have you..."
"You're not broken, little moon. You're beautiful and I would adore you no matter your appearance."
At the solemn look on his face, I wrapped my arms around his neck and tugged him so that he was lying next to me. He pulled me tighter to his body and I could feel his fingers gripping my shirt. Levi buried his face in my neck and I gently played with the wavy strands of his hair until I felt him relax.
"Hey, Rain?"
"Yeah?" I mumbled.
"Why are you so unfazed by this?" he questioned. "You could have died yet all you cared about the moment you woke up was why I looked so tired. Why is it that you never seem to care when you're in pain?"
"I don't know," I answered, truthfully, sensing the concern in his words. "Maybe it's because I'm used to it. It's not so much that I don't care but more the fact that I've been through much worse before."
"You shouldn't have to get used to it, Rain," he frowned. "It hurts me to see you in pain and I never want you to feel as though you have to go through it alone."
"If you want to cry, then cry. If you want to scream, then scream. I'll listen to everything, every heartbeat, every word. I'll always care and if you can't find it in yourself to worry about your own pain then I'll care enough for the both of us. I just want you to be happy."
"I'm happy when I'm with you," I smiled.
"I'm glad," he grinned. "I'm really glad."
My heart hammered in my chest at the sight of him. Despite all that had happened in the last few days, he was shining again. A radiant sun in this bleak world and I couldn't help but hold him closer to me in fear that he would slip away.
I didn't want this room to be where I repeated those three words to Levi, but after having almost died, I didn't want to wait any longer. Every second by his side was worth it and it really didn't matter anymore where I said those three words as long as I was saying them to him.
"I love you, Levi," I whispered.
He stiffened, pushing himself up so he was caging me in his arms.
"Say it again," he said, his eyes searching mine as his smile widened.
"I love you," I blushed.
He leaned down and began pressing kisses to my collarbone, slowly trailing his way up to my lips.
"Again," he murmured, his warm breath fanning against my cold skin.
He painstakingly took his time, making sure to ask me to repeat those three words every time his lips met my skin until at last, he found my lips.
"I love you, Rain."
